Why does it look like everything look like its covered in mud no matter what?

I have tried every setting in every configuration i can think of? it looks like everything is smeared with mud.

Like...the map? The world? The items? Placed objects? What are you talking about? I've noticed that objects you look at in containers will load in super low res until you mess with them. Someone else mentioned that was a UE issue since they saw it on other games.

literally everything. When i look down a scope the center dot is blown out and fuzzy all the textures look like they are smeared, the gun looks like its from a PS2. i know its early access but everyone's screenshots look amazing compared to mine.

what type of AA are you using? TAA is notorious for turning everything into smudgy mess.
