Incursion Red River

Frustrated with Bunker
Several issues I'm having, first, all of my available missions are in the bunker. Second, I cannot for the life of me find where the objectives are, and I keep getting lost in this maze. Seriously, what the hell is the pipe maintenance room, the vehicle lift, the industrial zone? Where the hell is everything? I mean, I'm not asking for flashy GPS trackers, but I'd like something better than run around for an hour trying to find a little box in an unnamed room with no guidance. The command room is the only room that is obvious.

I can't use night vision properly because there are lights everywhere that I can't shoot out (and the narrow view makes me a bit sick TBH, but that's my problem), and I don't want to use flashlights because I don't want to get spotted.

I know about the guide (and I appreciate the effort, the pictures at least are a great help), but without a map, it is very hard to find things. Is there a half-decent readable map for this level anywhere? Why doesn't the tablet at least give us pictures of the room and the box? Half the time, I'm not sure if I put the docs in the correct place when I extract. And by the way, where do you extract?

I just want to play on the quarry map, but have no missions. Bug?

I'm not looking for answers to my questions here (rhetorical), I'm hoping that the development team can address these with tools such as a map on the tablet (not asking for a GPS tracker, but a picture with a map so we can find our way). I have tons of money, but can't replace my kit due to low rep, and can't raise rep without playing this damn map.

For finding your way around the bunker, I found the drawn map image in this guide helpful:

For missions, you can spend 5k to recycle your missions and tasks. Warning, recycling missions preserves nothing, you need to reselect any and all tasks you have; and if you were partway through a task it still takes it away, so consider if it's a task you want to complete, first, before cycling things out.

Also, for the time being, the enemy is neither aware of or reactive to using flashlights, so feel free to use them. It's to make up for the fact that enemies don't necessarily have them, so them being utterly blind at night or in the darker bunker areas would make it too easy if you have NVGs. However, I'm sure that'll change in the future.

Hopefully some of that information is helpful.

Thanks, appreciate the information, especially about recycling missions/tasks! I wasn't aware of that functionality.

Hate putting up whiny posts like this, but this is one of my favorite tactical shooters and I want to see it improve. I actually like the map aside from navigational issues.

A few bullet point suggestions for further development:
- Make the intel missions find and extract, rather than find and move (which seems odd), that way we only have to find one difficult area rather than two, and no more guesswork about which container is the correct container to put the intel in.
- Instead of white noise on the tablet, put a map of the bunker on the screen, labeling general areas to look for objectives and labeling room names, and also the general area of extracts. If you have to place something somewhere, give us a picture of the thing or place.

The boss-hunt mission is a lot better due to the ease of finding the area.

No worries. The button for recycling the job board is easily overlooked, but in my case I learned the hard way it took away all the tasks I had already selected (there's a display bug that it'll still show your old tasks, until you select a new one, but you don't actually have them anymore).

Otherwise, yeah, I had put similar feedback up in my own general feedback thread (quite a while ago . . . it's buried at least a page back, on the board, at this point, even with how quiet it is around here). I had suggested having the tablet show "No satellite signal, loading bunkermap.pdf" with a blueprint map of the bunker that has objective markers; and then you have to figure your location out yourself. Immersive but effective.

The game is fun and has a lot of potential. I just hope they're able to capitalize on it . . . and start putting out more regular updates/patches.
