Reloading broken/can't reload?

There are times when I try to reload and it does nothing. Let it be mag swapping or dropping, pressing R would do nothing. I have to inspect my gun, drop the mag, and drag a new one into the gun. I know you can't mag swap unless you have inventory space for it, but even if i do or don't, I can't reload.

Checking mags work, and I tried rebinding the button, does nothing.

If you are out of mags it does this. You get no warning. It just starts checking your mag rather than reloading it because there are none left.

I had 2 extra MP5 mags, with bullets, and inventory space.

Do you use a mouse button for reload/inspect mag?

Are your spare mags in your rig, or in your backpack? Reload hotkey only reloads from rig.

Yea, as I said, reloading with no mags available gives you a mag check. That must be the OP’s problem.

That's probably why. I'll have to test that out.

Edit: Yep, you're right. Another mechanic the game doesn't explain. Also whats the difference between a rig and plate carrier?

A rig has pockets for mags and other items but is not armoured. An armoured rig has pockets and is armoured. A plate carrier is just armour and you need to wear a rig on top to get pockets for mags.

I didn't know I had to equip an unarmored rig in order to equip a plate carrier. I was wondering why I couldn't equip both armored rigs and plate carriers.
