The issue of forgetting to assign/consider parts effects
On one hand we have the SCAR, which comes with a full kit of handguard and stock, but with changeable barrels.
On the other hand we have the AK-74M which can't change barrel but can change handguards and stocks.

So it seems that the developers forgot to take default/un-changeable parts into account when giving guns their stats.
Hence, AK is not subject to barrel debuff because it doesn't have an independent barrel part; while SCAR is not enjoying handguard and stock buffs because it doesn't have those as replaceable parts, but is suffering from barrel debuffs because of its barrel options.

And the result is this abomination:

An AK with stock, handguard and even pistol grip (which doesn't have ergo value anyway) removed, having better ergo than a SCAR-L in fully firing condition.
in other words, an AK that you literally have no place to hold it with your hands, have superior ergonomics than a perfectly working SCAR.

Something really needs to be done about this...SCAR is a wonderful gun in this game were it not for the horrendous ergo.

True both SCAR's are amazing even with awful ergo that really doesn't do much thankfully. The biggest downside of the Scar is it is so big in the stash...

uh, try to use a silenced SCAR-H. the ergo impact is huge.

the fact that the Scar isnt as adaptable in this game as it is in real life is disappointing. you can remove a scar basic stock and put on different stocks. and even changing the pistol grip is a cinch. the face you cant in this game is just outright sad

oh, IRL SCAR actually have stock options? I didn't know that.
