No I haven't . But I have been playing FPS since the mid 90's (Novalogic Delta Force series , etc.) , and was a Beta tester in some games in the late 90's , and have played since (I will be 65 next week) , I have almost all the Call of Duty series , ALL the FarCry series , , and several other games , ALL first Person Shooters , and NONE OF THEM take away your loadout , except this one , too me its just stupid and ruined the game for me
I honestly thought "Extraction Shooter" meant you had to complete missions and get to a Extraction Point to gain anything/complete the mission , I never bothered to look up what it meant , and the trailers they play , never mention any of that stuff
Kind of like how Call of Duty now has a Command Center that is called Call of Duty , I thought it was a newer version of the first game with better graphics , it even shows up in your Game Library as if it were a game , till you try to play it and its just some bloatware crap that I really don't need or want , but in all the Trailer videos , it acts like its a actual game and never once says anything different till you download the huge thing and find out you just wasted a ton of hard drive space
Anyway , I don't get what the hype is for this type of game , if I had known what it actually was about , I never would have wasted the money or hard drive space on it
Accept the loss brother and learn from your mistakes to look into a game before throwing your hard earned money into it, But that's life i guess you do that daily as we all do in our day to day lives!
As for why people like it it's called risk an reward an it makes death actually mean something. If you died an just went back to the lobby with everything still you had then death would be meaningless. This is the problem games like COD an Ghost Recon have, failure carries no consequence other then being sent back to camp or your last checkpoint. This helps to build tension as now you have reason to stay alive.
In other words, you need to actually get good
I just looked , according to Steam I have played EXACTLY 2 hours
No , I have never felt the need to get one ... till now
It's not about "Getting Good" , its about not dying in 1 shot when the AI take 5 shots to kill unless its a head shot , then losing all your inventory
All I used to (till now) looked for in a game before purchasing is Single Player , as that is all I play anymore , and First Person , those were my requirements because for the most part , ALL FPS games were the same in how they played , till I got this one
If you think all FPS games are the same then you haven't played very many. If you played Portal an then played Doom: Eternal you'd see the only thing they have in common is the perspective an that's it. This ain't COD where you can just click on people to make them die an then hide behind a wall while your health regenerates.
The AI wear body armour so if you're shooting them in the chest then it's not gonna do a whole lot an unlike in those other games you listed the AI here do know how to headshot. I'm gonna assume you went into this game expecting it to be more casual an just charged forward while firing from the hip.
But whatever, you've already made your decision an honestly it's probably for the best as this clearly ain't a game for you
Great ... Thanks for the help , yeah , I just don't like this type of gameplay , the controls are janky and the learning curve is , you don't get one , you die you lose everything , pretty much takes away the desire to want to play , in some of the old games I played (Novalogic Black Hawk Down/Task Force Dagger) , I was top 10 in the world in Most Kills (over 150,000) , and Headshots , and had over 10,000 Med Saves , I was on a Squad and also Beta tested some of their games , I just Dont like this game ,
I submitted the Request for a Refund , so hopefully they do it , and I will just make sure the next game I purchase is not this type of gameplay , it was a real letdown , graphically it was fine , just the gameplay is what ruined it for me ...
Again , Thanks for the help
I don't play 3rd Person games , and don't like Multiplayer either , and I think Doom and all those are 3rd person , which I hate , basicallyI play All of the FarCry (1,2,3,4,5,6) most of Call of Duty franchise , all of Novalogic Delta Force games , All the Sniper Ghost Warrior games , Crysys franchise , Arma 3 , Ground Branch , and that is what I mainly play anymore , I just recently got (the same day I got this game) Ghost Recon Wildlands and its good except for the 3rd person part of it , but otherwise I like it , but usually the only time I get killed is when it switches from 1st person to 3rd person , which is why I don't like 3rd person view , and in general I don't like Multiplayer games anymore , too much cheating , its a big turn off and ONLY play Singleplayer period .
If you think DOOM is 3rd person then you clearly don't know anything. DOOM is considered "the grand-daddy of first person shooters". You think people give that to a 3rd person shooter? The game is literally the reason most of the games you just listed even exist.
This has to be a troll, noone is this clueless
There is a mod for playing in 1st person for Ghost Recon Wildlands and works pretty good :)
