How to Unlock Trader Tiers?
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Maybe I'm missing it, but didn't see any way to do this.

I *think* that trader unlocks are done by completing quests. There isn't really any indication of this, but I did a few quests and unlocked Tier 2 but only for certain factions. Presumably if I keep doing missions more will unlock.

I maxed out VLF but nothing new opened. Started working for the other factions and it lowers VLF, so yeah I don't really get how you unlock the next tiers

You unlock next tiers by completing missions for that trader. Completing missions for one trader loses you progress on the others. That's what I've found out so far. At the moment UICS is the only one worth a damn because 90% of locked items are locked behind them.
