Nite Vision ---> can't read map or use certain gun sights
Dunno if this is just a graphics issue on my end, but when nite vision goggles are ON the map (tablet) is completely washed out by bright light and so are certain specific gun sites.

Please fix, thanks.

The map I can understand, but the sights are a real pain, it makes night shooting really fiddly, it's more hindrance than help. Surely illuminated reticles can be turned off?
Speaking of illuminated reticles, they are very thick and make it hard to precisely target, especially at range.

Not all gun sights are compatible with night vision, in most games or irl. It's generally a pain to use nvg without IR laser, due to risk of damaging your nvg or scope. Most operators chose to use IR laser while canting their rifle. I hope this helps.
The tablet is like that since it's a light source, I guess realism takes priority in this game.

My only gripe is night vision not working inside some of the buildings even though they have light sources from windows .

The tablet causing whiteout of the NVGs makes sense but the sights don't since most of the sight units we have in-game have specific reticle brightness settings for use with image intensifiers. Hopefully this is something that'll be fixed at some point.

Yes I'm hoping so, for now it's daytime missions only.

The night vision is bugged a bit. I don't use it. It's not that dark out. I found that adding a FL flashlight to your gun is way better. It's like a deer in the headlights when you shine on the AI

As far as night vision and maps go, a tablet screen would completely overwhelm an image intensifier.

IRL standard scopes are not compatible with night vision, that is realistic and appropriate in a tactical shooter (there are monocular scopes with DO have built-in night vision, NVG, but you also can't use those with goggles).

To set up night ops properly, put a PEC on your firearm and set the laser to IR (in game IR is the "thinner" beam when you have goggles on). PEC's also has an IR flashlight which can be used in dark rooms with NV for invisible flashlights. It'd be nice if they offered a dark range similar to Ground Branch so you can test night gear setups... Would love to see that addition!

As for the tablet, I think it would be nice if, when open the tablet while you have NV on, have it toggle the NV for you (both off and on) as a QOL addition to the game.

The FL flashlight works way better on a weapon for night time, IMO.
