Great, then why should someone play this, when there´s EFT, that has the same BS mechanic? Or SPTarkov, where someone can mod the game to his preferances (no gear loss on death).
Yes yes, PQ has no PvP, but that gear-loss mechanic makes, as in EFT, some aspects totally useless, like modifying your gear and weapons. What´s the point?

Because options are always good. Just because one game has a similarity to another doesnt make it pointless. The demo just released, I am sure the devs have a lot planned to make the game their own spin on a wildly populate genre.

If they want to make a great alternative, then they shouldn´t copy exactly the same mechanic that made another games unattractive for many. PQ being SP / Coop only is a very good start, but gear-loss is something that made me and others i know quit EFT.

People like the adrenaline rush of potentially losing their gear. If you want something to play something with less consequence then I suggest you go play stalker anomaly. it's out rn and free. But complaining about the genre itself is stupid. that's like me joining a card game forum and complaining about why the game doesn't play like skyrim/witcher 3. (I find turn based card games boring, but people like them) literally just go play something else because this isn't the type of game you're looking for nor will it ever be.

I kinda agree with the OP that sometimes people just want all the realistic mechanics of Tarkov without the lose everything on death mechanic. People say things like don't play extraction shooters...but that's tough seeing as some of the most enjoyable shooters are extraction shooters lol. TL:DR people can like various aspects of a genre but not every aspect of it.
