Good luck to you. Honestly I don't know if I won by luck or if the build I did was actually good in any way.
To explain it simply, I started with prism tower. I took everything that was about mana except genie and ifrit (so simply : well tower, gargoyle tower, whirlwind tower, and prism tower).
And I took those towers everytime they appeared. And every turn I infused the prism tower.
I think I got a bit lucky because I found enough prism towers to level it up after the first boss, and I got gargoyle pretty early.
Try the basicest of builds:
In the front: cerber-1 promises-3 cerberi 1 along. You can add impi or two - they're free after couple of upgrades and give a little bit sturdiness to inferno tower.
On the back: well - max lvl, well - lvl1(just to help a bit with mana before you reach 2-3 , reroll tower.
Those are more than enough to get through first boss. Don't overspend on rerolls though - if you have 5-8 mana it's fine to wait for a round in case you'll get the need upgrades.
Search for prism. Fill it till 11 hp if you have spare and put drover behind it to get cheap lvl 2.
If you didn't get the prism in first 10 rounds - restart. There are alternatives to get higher winrate(mole, succubi, genies + food) but they require a bit different approach in basic setups,
Don't overinvest in prism - getting lvl3 promises or higher well is much more important. If you got +max level arti or token after first boss - continue to grow the well, if not - build up the second one, and infuse all the leftovers in prism, Don't forget that reroll tower also should be maxed although with lower priority than wells and prism
Make sure to get all your towers at least at Lvl2 before that 3rd boss. I lost my Glutton boy right after that pic...

Created a video to check stability of inferno, it might give you some pointers
3 Crowns Inferno Tower 14/10 Level 2
Well Tower 1/3 Level 1 (I almost never get many well towers)
Chaos Tower 8/6 Level 1
(empty spot)
Prism Tower 21/19 Level 1 (another tower that hardly ever shows up)
Ifrit Tower 13/11 Level 1
Imp Tower 4/4 Level 2
Tower of Promises 6/6 Level 2
Cerberus Tower 4/4 Level 2
Sulphur Tower 1/2 Level 1
Now I added Genie Tower to empty spot
Then Lost 1 crown on Level 13
Then Lost 1 crown on level 14
Then died on level 15
Because lines of enemies that have 15-30 attack and 45-80 health
You see that my best Tower at that point had 30 attack and 42 health it is so unbalanced and over powered you really don't stand a chance... and that was on of my better runs.
How are towers that such low health and attack going to win?
anyway I am done... getting my ass kicked over and over is just not fun.
OK
U just get 2 Wells and the chaos tower, put mana infusion onto the chaos tower in the early. Then you wait till you get a mole tower and place it 3 spots from the left side. Then on the farmost right you place a Root Tower and 2 spaces left to the mole tower another Root tower. Best case would be a prism tower. But then you just start leveling the root towers with mana infusion to level the mole. Sth that was very helpful for me was the drover tower, that upgraded my mole to lvl 2. And then it was pretty free. I invested in more money and more root tower levels and it worked out just fine. I got till round 46, but well the scaling aint infinite.
Last tip: I stopped at leveling the root towers further than lvl 3, cause I think the value is too low. I started to put mana into the ceberus but it didnt made too much of a difference.
balance is whack
If you try to build some early game protection, it tends to cost you later in the game as it slows down your actual builds scaling.
And depending on Cerberus + promise a carry most builds early is just boring and bad design.
