Try chest, thief, bear, honey, flower, honey, bees(not really many required, try to balance with:), glass/guardian for early game. Then you just need bear level two, but rather always roll for double honey. Obviously ALWAYS put honey next to flower for the exponential growth. To be clear, always put it to the right of the flower. Your priority is the flower, not bears^^
My favourite build for now, but it was a nightmare to get the right rng
,,,and now just put the bear to the very right and a slime left to the 2nd honey. Badabing Badaboom. I don´t have a screenshot, but my bear lvl2 was 1400/1400 after the 2nd boss. Slime about 800/800 Flower somewhere around that.
royal, chest, thief, slime, honey, flower, honey, forge lvl2, bees lvl4, bear lvl2
So far my highest numbers run. Setup was pretty standard for bee/flower/honey after I got the forge in round one. Bear came eventually and as transitiion until slime hits the board, I put a mosquito left to the flower tower. buffed to 5/5 it´s a lot of tempo early on. With slime after the first boss and soon after that a leveled up bear, things got going very fast.
Forge is no longer needed after act2 due to the Flower towers high base stats by then. Just remove Forge for another Bear, after you´ve put three additional Bears in the new slots. Get them to lvl 2 and see, if the game outscales it on any future difficulty. Highly doubt it.
Shop prio is Honey plus the best statted common tower you get in the same roll. Aim for 10 gold in the bank for desperate rolls if necessary. Bears will come eventually. But if you eat two towers each round buffed by Flower tower, Slime + Bears will carry any loads.
The current build would make the Bear in front roughly a 2000/2000 after two rounds. At least 3k/3k after 5 rounds. And I am talking only about the unit in front. The eco effort for this will be minimal and most of the time there will be money left at the end of the turn.
Obviously if you do Bear/Honey/Flower/Honey it's going to get huge. Forge helps just because it gets you to Flower adding 30/30 to Honey a lot faster. You can do Princess Forge and depending on how much other gold gain you have, it is possible to get Forge to level 3 or even 4.
By end of demo I got a milk tower with 200/400 and another with 136/1648, with a level 3 cow and a level 1 cow.
Other builds that worked:
Hydra, just keep building hydras, leave 1 slot open for slime once you max tower levels.
Butler, basically wins the game on its own if you start with it next to Royal Tower
High level Poison and many Mosquito is actually strong AF especially if you can find some way to make them have more attack, like Butler
Chest - Thief - Flower - Empty - Flower - empty - Bee - Bee - Bee
The idea is to double down on the flower scaling. Getting 2x honey is fairly common with so many bees. The left honeycomb will be double empowered by the flowers, emphasizing on the exponential growth.
I can imagine a coffee tower becoming good, replacing maybe a bee. The bear tower is an idea too, but it did not convince me. Flower has the HUGE pro that it basically has FREE upgrades, as you get full gold back for each exp invest. That means it is probably way faster and easier to get 2 good high level flowers. PLUS the bees increase chances of getting flowers in shop, too.
With the bees its easy to force constant honey, making it probably a good constantly working strat IF you get the early flower.
