But I can tell you it was a little above.
I had around 3k annoyance. The trick is this:
Slime -> Insolate -> Jester
The jester buffs a random tower next to him with annoyance, so make sure the Insolate is the only tower next to it. This happens before the slime eats the Insolate tower, so the Insolate tower keeps the buff when it's respawned. This doesn't work with the Succubus, because the timing is different. And it also doesn't work with the annoyance from Cursed, again due to the timing.
You're right, sorry about the confusion.
I always place the trickster to the rightmost spot, so he only ever buffs the insolent tower.
For boss rewards I only get stairway and everything else goes to getting more nullification tokens. It might also be possible to use the archaeologist's hat at some point.
That allows me to really get more than enough trickster levels without any princess towers.
I usually have multiple chaos towers, a single well and of course portal and devil towers to level the insolent fast enough. But you can reduce that to 1 well, 1 insolet, 1 trickster and the all the rest chaos towers once you've got it all going nicely.
The only problem with that build, while I'm sure it's unbeatable at the moment, is that it takes forever to finish a turn.
