Need help with Downwind Guild Casino level (house key)

Im having trouble finding both house keys.

I know Im spposed to go to Reuben's house first and from the speed run on youtube it seems you get the key in the room with the fireplace and purple box like I originaly thought. However the key seems to magicaly appear in the speedrunners inventory when he enters said room.

Can someone help me out with this?
Im starting to think my game is bugged as I cannot find the key anywhere inside.

Also can you add Donal's house key location a few lines down, hidden if possible?
There is a note for that location in the game but this seems to be the first level that I can make little sense out of the map however I have searched the whole complex except for both houses and I have not came across Donal's key yet either. If its not in Reuben's house (which I doubt it is) Im afraid I will be lost again. :(

For Ruebens' key, it's in one of the rooms between the mansion basement and the sewers. The speedrunner probably already had the key, but selected it in his inventory upon entering the room.

This level is a confusing mess and easily the worst in the series btw, so you're not alone.


For Donal's house, you don't need a key, i think.

Hmm... thnx for your efforts but you do need a key for Donald's and I already got Reuben's key in the room i spoke about. It was in the bookshelf on the opposite side of the door the speedrunner came in through so I have no idea how he had it before he even came close to it...

I am pretty sure your instruction are for Donal's key instead however vague they are. The search goes on...

Donal's house has a back entrance through the sewers that doesn't need a key.

Now Iv watched two speed runs and I dont see any key being used, the door is just unlocked. Might there be a switch somewhere? I didnt see anything in paticular.

Im pretty sure that I am trying to get through that door your speaking of, but it is locked for me unlike for everyone else that iv seen.

There is a note next to the door that reads-
"Pay tribute at Margin's quarters in the southeast arches"
I see neither of these on my maps.

But it makes sense when you say there is no key for the door as Reubens key was just labeled "house key", not "Reuben's House Key"- hinting that there is only one house key. So why is this door locked for me???????

Ok you were right, there is yet ANOTHER back entrence with a gate that did not need a key. Whats strange is that neither of the speed runners used it. Instead they used the front entrence which was strangely unlocked for them hence my confusion.

I remember coming to the back entrence before but either i never commited and mistakenly labled it searched in my head or the gate was locked at the time possibly due to unpulled levers.

Anyways, for anyone else ever in search of the solution-
The back room entrence starts in the swimming area, with the ladder surrounded by water on all sides and many wooden planks in the room. Standing on top of the ladder you can see 2 lit windows/archways on one side and just a single one on the opposite side. The single opening is the back entrence to Donal's house.

And if anyone knows how these people are going through the front entrence instead please let me know as the key is INSIDE the house itself.

Thanks!! I've just spent the last hour trying to figure out why that door is locked and where the f***ing key was!!!! I completely missed the back entrance... This was very helpful :)

I know it's super old thread but the OP probably played on hard/expert (don't remember which one changes it) and that's why the door was closed. Speedrun was probably done on normal and door to donal's house is open on normal
