Thief Gold HD Mod 0.9.3 released!

What adds the HD Mod to the game?
- added HD textures for all original missions
- added new vegetation
- added new water and lava textures
- added new torch and fire flames
- added new Fog FX
- added new Bugbeast HD skin
- added new Burrick HD skin
- added Zombie HD skin
- added new skies
- added "NewDark Graphics Settings Tool"



The full Installer of version 0.9.3 is out!

Changelog:

v0.9.3:

- added some new HD textures (shields, windows, banners, stonewalls, temple paintings)
- added new cobwebs objects on "Break from Cragscleft Prison", "Escape!" and "Into the Maw of Chaos"
- added new plant objects on "Escape!"
- added new "Fire Shadow Model" (for the moment without new flames FX because of the FPS problem)
- conversion of all water textures from 24-Bit to 8-Bit color .PNG (all water textures lose 30 % of the filesize!)
- fixed the problem with the cellblock shields on "Break from Cragscleft Prison"
- fixed a problem with the spiders AI's on "Into the Maw of Chaos"
- fixed a problem with the "NewDark Graphics Settings Tool"
- fixed some textures
- placed some (in air flying) objects correctly
- changed some fire places to get a better FPS on some missions

whats a mod exacty? and will that slow the game even more 'cause it's pretty slow as it is..... i mean i experience some glitches and the storyline's audio isn't syched......

Not enough data to verfiy safety or some such from Norton. Granted, Norton pisses me right off by interrupting me with random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ while I'm trying to do something (i.e., don't tell me JACK if my computer's running fine), but this time I'll believe it.

WOOT! It is amazing! It's like a whole different game. I'd play this over THIEF any day.

It looks pretty good. Doesn't seem to ruin the aesthetic either. Not sure if I'd feel the same if I actually tried it. I usually think texture mods try to be too sharp and wind up looking weird.

Norton sucks. I hate when I have to deal with somebody's computer and Norton or Mcafee screw with me every step of the way.

Well, Lee, you have to remember that these days having kick ass graphics is far more important than actually making a decent game. That said, I enjoyed this Thief, but only because I could add my own backstory having played the first two.

how do you make it work with dromed ?

i can open the old .mis file in "Thief Gold\Data" or "Thief 2\patchedmis"

but dromed crash when i open the .mis files in HDMOD

ps: i have CD version, not steam
