How do I get the game in 1920x1080?

The only mod I found is TGTool and it's really pissy about where it installs, it won't accept any directory I choose to put the game in.

Is there any way to get this game to modern resolution?

You could try the GoG thief version that has new dark preinstalled all you have to do install and play and choose the higher resolution you want. The thief series is cheap as on GoG.

I install patch TFix 1.26a and play with 1366x768. Maybe it solution will work in your case too with 1920х1080.

How bad is the steam version of this game? I have the GoG version, and everything people are asking about seems to be readily available in the GoG copy, including an array of resolutions, control configurations, modding capability if needed, etc.
