EAX Settings

Hey, Taffers.
There's a setting in Thief called EAX which I'm not sure about. I play the game with no hardware acceleration with earphones or headphones and it seems to use stereo. I turned EAX on after switching to the OpenAL option and it seems to blend the directions together and makes the game sound very echoey. I've seen a lot of people say to play with EAX on but it doesn't seem very good.
Is it a problem or am I an idiot?

my solution for windows 10 NO SOUND IN-GAME (it`s a windows thing, not a game or update)

i also found out that the NO SOUND problem was actually already there - and i couldn`t TEST my SOUND options (i manually installed the audio-driver just before)

Turn off Audio Enhancements
Follow these steps:
Select the Start button, type Sound in the search box, and then select Sound Control Panel from the list of results.
On the Playback tab, right-click (or press and hold) the Default Device, and then select Properties.
On the Enhancements tab, select the Disable all enhancements check box and try to play your audio device.

It’s annoying when people recommend unnecessarily convoluted solutions... especially when they end up being inferior. Not only is dropping a .dll file into the game’s folder much easier, it also sounds much better and more natural too.
OpenAL’s the way to go... not fake EAX.

Nah OpenAL sounds like ♥♥♥♥, Creative Alchemy is the best way.
