Report a translation problem
The error says that there is a "detailed report and .dmp file" there, but I see no detailed report.
There is RRRELauncherLog.txt and some Crash Logs.
But all RRRELauncherLog.txt says (minus timestamps and repeated stuff for each time I ran it) is:
URL registration succeeded.
Launcher Server IPC initialized.
Launcher Client IPC initialized.
Game IPC initialized.
So everything looks ok with that log.
And all the Crash Logs say in them is the error I wrote in my original post, and nothing else.
The .dmp files are some sort of binary format useful for dev debugging or something, but not readable by humans.
If indeed the reason my game crashes is because I am running WindowsXP, then I would like to suggest to the developers that they change the error message from the cryptic useless one it gives, to something like "Error: This game does not support your Operating System and cannot run."
Furthermore, in the downloading and installation process, I don't know where Steam and Valve's purview ends and Simbin's begins, but, in a case like mine, whichever part is Steam's I would suggest that Steam inform or warn the end user that the game does not operate on their OS. And wherever Simbin's begins, I suggest to Simbin that the game inform the user. A simple "Cannot run game, this game doesn't support your OS" something like that.
Otherwise, the end user is just going to think the game is broken and buggy.
i m on XP sp3 too
but on the beta the game was working well so ...
OS:Microsoft Windows Vista / 7
Unfortunatly XP is not supported.
I've tried to install the game again, installed the latest flash-, java-, graphics card upgrades. Did not help.
I have 2 monitors and tried to play on one screen only, but does not help.
Also tried windows compatibility mode setting to be changed, did not help.
Previous version of RaceRoom Racing Experience & all other Simbin racing games worked without problems.
