Game works well on Linux
Hello sim-divers.
The game does well on Linux.
I tested it on Arch and everything went smooth.
Great work devs.

Steering wheel Logitech G29 xbox version also works well with this game.

Quick question. Does Linux help with performance ? Microsoft has so much running in the background I have like 10gb ram being used in idle.

Windows 11 is rubbish with its advertisements and news stuff. Plus data collection.

Mine only use 6.3 gb, thats 20 % of total.

Using 10.3 with Raceroom.

it is not really used, the more you have, the more it will "reserve" Win 10 can run without issues with 256mb RAM

Cheers. I did not know that. About the more RAM = more reserved.

Works well on debian here, also with a G29.
I think windows is probably the same as linux in that ram will be used to cache stuff. If you start up a program that needs a lot of memory the OS will dump some of that cache. Unused ram is wasted ram.

My G29 works without force feedback. I'm using pyLinuxWheel and I can test the force feedback and see the inputs being recognized by my laptop. Steam isn't recognizing the wheel as a controller, it just says "No controllers detected". Raceroom does pick it up and I can turn and use the pedals but the force feedback section is unavailable.
Any help? I'm using debian 12.

Are you using the drivers new-lg4ff? Also it shouldn't show up as a steam controller so that's ok.

I've tried, I'm not sure I installed them properly so that might be the issue.

I use Linux, and my graphics card isn't great, but I usually run full graphics except for motion blur, and it usually has very good FPS unless the track is bumpy such as Raceroom Raceway or Daytona.
