What is the difference between R3E and the DTM Experiences

I know R3E is the main game and DTM Experiences add some cars and tracks, but when I read the forum, it looks like there are some limitations that i don't really understand. (for example like it's separate games and you can't drive DTM Experience 2014's cars in R3E ??????)

DTM 2014 Experience is like a game within a game. It has it's own set of cars and tracks, those of DTM 2014 of course, and you can only drive those cars on those tracks but you have to have R3E installed to be able to use DTM 2014 (see the installation instructions here: http://www.dtm-experience.com/documents/DTM_Experience_Installation%20Guide.pdf). DTM 2013 was also an experience pack but the exclusive license expired after some time and now the DTM 2013 content can be used in R3E also. So this probably will happen with DTM 2014 aswell in the future.

You're welcome.
DTM 2014 has an online mode and servers running, yes. But be aware that you might want to search for some racing community that sets up fixed dates for their members to race cause most of the time the servers are rather empty, it gets better in the evening (Europe) though.

GT Master 2014 is a standalone Experience like DTM 2014 for now.
DTM 1992 is merely a content package for R3E, those cars are bought and used inside R3E, so they are available on all tracks and in R3Es multiplayer mode. Just like this there is a GT Master 2013 pack within R3E, no standalone.

But the tracks of both DTM14 and ADAC14 can be used with WTCC/R3E cars also?
Or are the tracks limited to the Experience?

I have both DTM 13 and ADAC 14 and can use all the cars and track with R3E, not sure about DTM 14 though. Can't justify the cost of buying extra car liveries in DTM 14 since I already have 13. Tracks in DTM 13 and 14 are the same.

Yes all DTM 14 tracks are playable in R3E.Cars are not yet licensed.
