RaceRoom Racing Experience

RaceRoom Racing Experience

Just now learning about this game. Some questions
I'm downloading another game at the moment but I'll definitely check this one out but in the meantime I have some questions.

1. Why is this free? What is is their strategy in making money? Are they selling features like online play or custom skins?

2. Does the free version allow online matches?

3. I'm currently without a wheel but i do fine with controller, can I fully remap buttons?

4. Does this have manual shift + clutch?

5. Does it have in car view?

It's a pay for what you want business model and quite honestly the best in sim racing. If you want to see what cars and tracks cost I recommend you go to raceroom store online.

I'm not sure what the free version gives you but you will be limited to online. There is however a starter pack that will allow you to drive all official online servers. You don't need to buy anything that you don't want or need so there's not gimmicky business practices here.

You can play this with a controller and you can also remap the controller as you see fit.

It does have manual shift and clutch as well as car view. I also feel it simulates clutch work better than any sim out there as well.
The free stuff is genuinely free and well worth a try. It's provided as a sort of demo to demonstrate the quality in the hope you will buy more. But you only buy extra cars or tracks if you want to.
You can also test drive cars.

Do you have GOOGLE?

Looks like you put ZERO effort in finding some basic answers yourself, so common these days.

To be fair GOOGLE with its AI generated answers can give some random replies/advice.....what's actually wrong with people who may be interested in being part of the community asking people in the know (from the community) about the sim???

Nothing wrong with asking questions.

But being lazy to look for answers online that can be found quickly by a search on the website or forum.

Is it not equally just to have human interaction for questioning? Who are you to decide what this person can and cannot do?

The anti-social response I was hoping to see.

The response is a bit harsh but your questions reflect exactly that.
For the controler if you search in here you will find something, same for the type of gearbox

My initial reaction was that the OP couldn't even be bothered to check the store page. if he had, surely he would have seen images showing cockpit view. But before sticking my foot in my gob I looked, and yeah, no images of interior views on the store page. Odd, that.

So yeah, ask away, no need for discussion forums otherwise.

Imagine being offended by questions in 2025. Okay then....I'll see myself out before the crowd gets worse. lol

Don't let one comment deter you from asking questions here. That's what the forum is for.

Happy simming

What do you mean? You will be limited to free content. Both single player and multiplayer modes will be available to you, but not all MP servers will allow you to join, only those that allow free content.

You'll be guaranteed to have at least one combo available to you, but not all of them.
