Leaderboard
Hi,

maybe a strange question but..

are not "all the tracks" available into the leaderboard menu (?)

I can't find the Spa-francorchamps.. (went through the whole list to be sure) :steamsad:

When I read your post I began composing my reply, which would have said of course it is, but before sticking my foot in me gob I looked and yeah, it's not there. On the internet leaderboards. I should have checked in game if it's available as a selection in leaderboard challenge.

But yeah, that's odd isn't it?

I asked on KWS boards, and wondering what the reason is

I asked why it isn't on the leaderboards and that question has hung in the air unanswered. Like I've asked about something we do not talk about. Kinda strange.

Somehow I never noticed before and I've played this for several years now.

AMS2 has it in time trial, plus several historic versions including the death-defying 1960s layout. Actually two of those, one with Malmedy chicane and one without.

Everyone likes Spa. It's undergone a number of revisions, and each one is beloved, even if the most dangerous version is the proper Spa Francorchamps. Kerbs and chicanes are unfortunately needed in modern times to prevent driver deaths. I mean, I'm all for safety, and luckily sim racers have a million quarters and can crash at insane speeds in to telephone poles and bounce right back to La Source and go again. But this layout isn't in RR

As to this thread... I expected an answer over there in short order, I have to believe this has been discussed before and the reason is well-known, but if so no one is saying so.

Invisibilize is a great word and if you don't mind I'm going to use it occasionally. :)

Conserning these 2 old very looong layouts I just dont get tired of driving them again and again in TT mode. Cant explain why. Because beside the death-defying speed and the few critical corners the tracks looks pretty boring. Hehe but they are not :-)

Yeah for sure. You know how AMS2 tracks your affinity, or displays your most-driven tracks and cars, and for me it's Spa and Nordschleife. The historic versions especially in all those old F1 sleds. Formula vintage 1 and 2 plus McLaren MP4/4 are my top three cars. I know you drive the same as we share some leaderboards. Unless they've wiped it recently

Just noticed I haven't turned a lap in Automobilista in a month. I should head back over. All I've been doing are ReceRoom competitions.

At the moment Im running the Lakeview track in Raceroom in the F-x17(?) in the opposite direction. Its pretty challenging because Im reasonably fast on this track in normal direction.
But more or less cannot learn the track in opposite direction. Frustrating yes. But also fun,
Because inside my head my brain is trying live to "translate" the corner sequences from the normal version to the opposite version ;-)

I saw there is a current competition using the hillclimb but I've never run it. Top times are seven minutes so I'd guess it takes some time to learn.

How do you start at the finish?

Are you sure we are talking about the same track?
Im talking about the lovely Lakeview Hillclimb. Where there are 2 versions.
One normal direction - and another alternative/opposite direction starting as you ask at the normal versions finish line.
Hehe but I warn you you have to react fast because of all the "hidden" corners :-)

OK I dont know what happend. Since my last post I was able to go from #4 to #2 on the X17 LB. #1 is impossible to reach - hehe for me. Lemme see what you can do on this track in this great car :-)

Yeah, I didn't know there was a reverse course, so that explains it.

And I see now that the current open leaderboard competition is a different hillclimb track

Check the Lakeview track out in one of the versions. The surroundings are so nice that it feels like being on a hollyday trip up in some mountain resort. With a rented rally route :-)

I gave it a go, and you're 25 seconds up the road haha. That's fun in this car. But I don't know which turn is coming next so down at the bottom of the board. It's quick to do so I'll give it another bash. I like any track with elevation change and this has plenty of that

The circuit (including its different layouts) is not available in the circuit selection listbox of the leaderboard. If you want to join the leaderboard of that circuit, you have to use browser to access the URL, and then click the button to launch R3E game.

Please note that the above URL is Grand Prix layout with Porsche 964 Cup car. You can change to other car group on the page. If you want other layout of that circuit, you can try to search on the Internet.

I play time trial using the URL today, and my record is posted on that leaderboard.
