G29 FFB settings after new FFB.
Anyone know where I can find a guide to tune FFB on my G29?

There is a RaceRoom Steam Guides above your post that covers your wheel and force feedback.

Here is my post about the G29 with the new FFB taken from a different thread. I hope it helps.

G29 user here. The new FFB is miles ahead of the old one, it feels so much better even on the Logitech wheels. At first I was disappointed as well comparing it to the old FFB, but the point is: all the information is there like understeering or brake lock. It just feels different than before (and way more natural or realistic in my opinion), you just have to learn to "understand the new language" by driving. Understeer for example: your wheel doesn't suddenly get light anymore like it used to with the old FFB (it doesn't feel like that in a real car either), now you will still feel weight and having some grip but at the same time you will feel your tires starting to slide. It's hard to explain, you have to feel and understand it yourself. Just stop comparing it to the old FFB. Free your mind and start fresh.

BTW what you call "center spring" are self-aligning forces working on the tires like in a real car.

My settings:
Strength 100
Linearity 70
Minimum Force 3
Maximum Force 100
Stationary Friction 50
Engine Vibrations 10 (I don't like the engine vibrations, so it's fairly low. That way there is barely anything to feel, mostly a slight vibration when hitting the rev limiter)
Bump Amplification 50 (40 might be enough for you, just try around. It gives you road and curb feel)
Shift Effects 20 (I love that feeling in the wheel when changing gears)

And then for most cars you need to adjust the FFB multiplier to your liking on a car by car basis. Bind the FFB multiplier keys and display the FFB meter while driving. Adjust the multiplier (probably upwards for all cars) so the FFB curve goes slightly into the red when heavy forces are applied to the tires (driving over curbs in fast corners for example or braking in fast corners). The curve shouldn't be in the red all the time, it should only spike under those heavy force conditions. Also it shouldn't reach the top where it just gets flat and FFB information gets lost. You will figure it out. ;)

For most cars I add 0.2 - 1 to the default multiplier depending on the car.

Oh, also it's a good idea to delete your old settings profile and start with a new one. I realised that the FFB update didn't change 2 of the old settings to the new value in the corresponding file which messed up my FFB when driving over curbs.

I hope this helps all those out there with a Logitech wheel so you can finally enjoy RaceRoom and the fantastic new FFB. Once you got used to it, it's so intuitive to drive.
