See you on track. :)
But the rest is all through the R3E store.
I do not like using Credit cards online as we have had a few attempted frauds at taking large amounts of money off our cards , lucky for us our Bank is pritty ♥♥♥♥ hot on this stuff & blocked both before informing use of these attempts.
So though we still use cards on major secure site we are wary.
To this end I find the Steam card & wallet systems far safer , yes they can get hi-jacked or hacked nothing is 100% safe.
I do understand that yes R3E can offer better discounts via their own site & they stand to make more money by not having to pay Steam a perecentage of every sale they make.
But they could state the fact that its cheaper through their main store for those who want to buy direct from them & it would be a little higher cost wise on Steam to cover the added cost's then the choice is form the buyer.
You have the same thing in the real world some times you end up paying more than you would at another shop but its still for the person to choose.
I am not too botherd about the sales model as I was at the start of the year . it could do with a re-working been a bit more clear.
Like as been said you end up with the cars and tracks you want & not a load of cars or tracks you never drive on.
I can see more going this way given time as long as they do not abuse the system as a cash cow as has been the case for a long time with DLC though I think times are changing these days.
I think the Sim is of the highest standards Tracks Cars & FFB are all about the best you can get. Sounds have always been a where Simbin/sector 3 racing have always been world leaders in Simracing .
Those alone make the Sim alive & as much as love AC & is updates R3E feels like a real Simrace it just draws you in.
after picking up the 90's DTM cars I was played until 2 am this morning just using stock setting fav car is the Merc 190 evo sound like a monster , I just ran in practice mode with 20 other DTM cars . I just found myself been draw in pushing more & more chasing a Cars down getting right up & close bumper to bumper stuff seing the Ai cars twitching around under braking the cars jumping around over the bumps.
amazing stuff love it.
Now I want more & the is how you sell any game give it some real depth & feel & you have a winner.
Sector 3 have stepped up since they replaced the Simbin name & we are now seing some real changes since the start of the year this Sim as improved 100% .
As they needed to with a market on the PC now full of Sim style racing game & all are now to be found on Steam.
Just proves that competition makes for products & not just churning out crappy games to make a big profit.
For now we are in win win from the point of Sim races on the PC lets hope it stays that way.
Happy racing all.
I agree with your comments, but I used Paypal on sector3 to buy the RP, nice, just as secure as steam, and easy to do.
as metined by others buying on the ingame store gives discounts on packs where you already have content buying ADAC meant that the euro track pack is now showing as 1100rp lower should i decide to buy it because I aready own 9 of em, not the full % but btter thn noting, I dont know how they could handle that through steam??
he downside is folks look at the DLC on steam and think RRE has nothing much to offer.
But as a side note.
I have used my credit card on Raceroom vRP store: http://www.raceroomstore.com/shop_en/list_page?cat=17
several times without any problems.
It's a secure site, I have to validate my identity with a bank id code using my phone before the purchase goes through.
very impressed
