you can also test drive (similar to practice, with no AIs) any cars for free. BUT, the AI cars don't have to be cars you own. For example, I often race LMP1s (P1) with LMP2s (P2) and GTDs (GTR 3). I can race in the P2 and P1 classes and have AIs be P1, P2, and GTR 3.
