CPU:3960x @ 4.7ghz with Corsair H80 cooler
MOBO: RIVE
GPU: EVGA 680
RAM: 32GB G.Skill 2133mhz
PSU: AX1200
SDD: Corsair GT in RAID & some other ssds for storage
OS: Win 7
WHEEL: G27
RRE Runs excellent pegged @ 60 fps on my rig, even online.
P.S. I use older Nvidia drivers as the new ones still suck.. lulz
helpful.
I thought so, too. Once he tries those older video drivers he shall see the light. Would you like a pic of that quote, Yusupov? It'll last longer.
you added the thing about the drivers as an afterthought. the entire post was you posting yr system specs & how you have no problem.
The post reference was merely to suggest not to forget about trying older drivers in case he had not already thought of something so simple as it was. It twas "helpful," yes, but your apparent fkcuin' sarcasm wasn't, obviously.
I validated the game cache, no difference.
I switched my wheel to several different USB ports, no difference.
I tried switching to 2 channel 48kHz sound after a test with that I then completely deactivating the realtek sound chip neither of which made a difference.
The 340 Nvidia driver should be fine. The only difference between a Beta driver by Nvidia and a WHQL driver is that Nvidia simply doesn’t acquire the WHQL certificate as the process takes time and cost money. The quality of the driver is the same.
Symptoms:
The menu in the event takes longer to load than the main menus.
Once on track the sound starts skipping.
Animations start to lag and skip. (game at 60 FPS vsync)
The game itself starts to skip frames or freezes. (Note if it does not freeze it runs at 60 FPS vsync)
The FFB of the wheel goes carzy.
If I press ESC when the game is frozen after some time the event menu pops up in a very laggy fashion. I then can quit the event after that everything works normal again.
Edit:
Tried exception for Anti Virus, no effect.
Reinstalled game completely on same location, no effect.
Reinstalled game completelyon different loaction, no effect.
Screen setup?
1920x1080 with 60 Hz Vsync on a single FHD TV.
Are those the default clock settings on cpu, gpu and ram? Cause OCing might result in bad performance too..
Problem persists.
Responsible was the front I/O panel.
I don't know what the issue in detail is but I noticed in another instance that no USB 3.0 plug was working on it.
I had an Xbox One controller connected via one of the USB 2.0 plugs.
So since I had issue with USB devices not responding in R3E and the USB 3.0 plug not working in general despite being connected to the mainboard I tried to clear the I/O panel of any devices.
I disconnected the XBox One controller from the front I/O panel and connected into plug on the mainboards rear panel.
And now the game works like a charm including SLI btw.
So I guess my front I/O panel is trash…
