How to report a dirty driver?
How do I report a driver who's driving standard is very poor?
I was doing a TCR ranked race on Hockenheim and this person just pushed me in the wall deliberate. Thanks to this ,I lost a bunch of rating.

I wonder what happens to the driver if it's clearly a dirty move. 50 lashes with a wet noodle?

I had a guy use me as brakes but in my case, I doubt it was intentional (?)

I have definitely seen some dirty driving though.

Thanks, I reported him, though I don't have high hopes he will be penalised or receive a ban.
I know there has been said alot about the ranking system in the past and that it's not perfect. Usually l let these things go because it's a part of simracing.

But sometimes it feels really unfair. I 'll do my best to be fair on the track and show good sportmanship. I spend alot of time to get my rating up and now I have lost a big amount of rating, while he gets more rating by being a *****.

precisely why i dont waste my time on ranked servers. coming from racing irl alot of these idiots havent a clue, literally not a clue.

Once you get to the Amateur servers, they're respectable drivers

The report button on the profil is only for profil things, like bad user name and stuff.
If you want to report a driver for bad behaviour on ranked you have to fill out the report https://forms.gle/bHeTaYvQUSajB2rD6 here.

If it wasn't ranked by the way you can't do much. Try contacting the server owner, but that is difficult to find out.

It's interesting that you can't tell if it was intentional or not. You locked your brakes up and he steered to avoid it. You have to lessen the pressure on your brakes man. This isn't the freeway in a city. You don't need to ever hit your brakes that hard!

Yeah, looking back at that, I would have to give us both fault. I braked hard and he wasn't prepared. A racing incident by two rookies.

Since that video I have learned a great deal and have been the victim of actual dirty drivers (which I wasn't expecting in amateur ranked racing). Thankfully it's not often!

From my 5+ years in iRacing I can tell you that even there you will meet intentional wreckers.
The difference between iRacing and more or less the rest of racing sims is that in iRacing there are some official action against such idiots. Sometimes. And when they are reported ofcourse :steamsad:

It's kind of sad really. I mean, in the end, it's just a computer simulation and most of us just want to have fun. Smh...

Yeah its sad. But this wrecking problem is probably impossible to solve in this kind of computer game where a lot depends of peoples mutual acceptance of rules and above all fairness.
In other kinds of games like 1st person shooters the whole point is actually that you intentionally "wreck" your opponents. With a headshot as example :steamhappy:
Hehe in such kind of games it will only be a problem if you begin to kill members of your own team :steamsad:

Agree. I must add that I guess there's no way to program the game that it knows who's fault an incident is.

Irl we have stewards.
Just yesterday I had a guy bump the rear of my car multiple times. Just little love taps but each of his "bumps" gave me incident points :(

I have seen a lot of fancy ideas of how a programmed "stewarding" in a racing game should function. Inspirering but with more cons than pros. But something that could minimise wreckers in MP could be if all incidents between drivers was collected into a personal database. Because then as example your guy who constantly tapped you could be banned from MP for a period when he reached a certain level of tappings.:steamsad:

Does iRacing not have realistic damage?

I respect that. I imagine one of the hardest parts of racing is racing in a pack where everyone puts up same lap times as each other and therefore choosing to go 4 wide in turn 4.
