Audi R8 GT3 no grip or what!?
Hi!
What is wrong with Audi R8 GT3 here in Raceroom?
This car with baseline aka "fixed" setup is unreal to drive.
I loose rear in every corner when I trailbrake.
NO GRIP!!!!!!!!!!!! Im spend lot of hours to make setup to make this car driveable but nothing.
This car with MAX WING or LOWEST REAR is still joke.
Just 0 rear grip. Great example is Turn 3 in Redbull Ring. Start braking then trailbraking and rear is on front.
So, tell me masters what is wrong?
Im not newbie to simracing. Im ex iracing driver (2019-2023). 5K iRating, drive a lot of endurance races with GTE/GT3 cars. Be in semi-profesional teams EDGE esport/Netrex GP. GT3 car my main was ofc Audi. But here this car have no rear.
Please write here, what is wrong.
It is very annoying, and all the time I have to force myself to drive a Porshe because only this has a real grip and will give you the pleasure of driving
Of course, I will also emphasize that I have seen a couple of people who can drive an Audi and shoot really good times. I wonder how...
Sorry for my bad english ;p

Hi. I was going to start a thread "Is the game broken?" but then I saw your topic so I'm going to chime in here. My problem with powerful cars is that oversteer feels completely unnatural. It's disconnected - no matter what you do, you can't help spinning out. Front wheels never have grip, so counter steering doesn't help and rears can't find traction even after releasing the gas. Driving aggressively in RRE is not rewarding at all. I mostly play AC and ACC and I just can't enjoy Raceroom because of this. Understeery cars like M2 are actually fun to drive.

The Audi isn't the easiest to drive, it is similar in real world. When the first R8 GT3 hit the pro scene in europe, you could here in the paddock stuff like failed concept. I have never driven one and I have never worked in a team that used the Audi R8.

If the car steps out at trail braking, move brake bias slightly forward. Other than that in what part of the corner does the rear step out? I haven't driven the R8 in RRE for a while but I remember that it was quite a sensitive car. Fyi Raceroom works before release of every car with a real world driver who drives it.

I use the Audi quite a bit in our community races when applicable (just to be different) I agree it is a different beast to drive, To me it seems quite under-steery, which encourages you to over compensate on the wheel leading to rear end snap, so you'll need to adjust your driving style to suit....adjust the brake bias towards the front, ease the overall brake pressure - "coast" the car into turns more - dont BLAT (Brake Late And Turn) into corners....I find it challenging and enjoyable to drive.....

all gt3s have become like that after the physics changes. haven't played much for ages but when i recently drove a few gt3s again i started to spin out much more on the turns, even with the corvette. it's like driving a different car.
