Need help on what to buy - so confusing :/
Hi Everyone, really enjoying this, I thought it made sense to buy the following to begin with:

European track pack
American track pack

I'm now at a loss of what to buy next, can anyone on advise which are the best current packs on sale to get from the Steam store?

Another thing is that I try to start a race, then it begins loading and I get a server error saying I haven't got a car, yet the car I have selected seems to be available. Anyone know anything about this? Content Server Error 20103

Thanks for the help!

What ever you do, don't buy any of the packs from the steam store, please log into race room, and purchase from the race room shop, you will get a much cheaper deal, plus they have more content listed in their shop than what is shown on the steam store.

Thanks guys but I should have said, I have £27 in my steam wallet I need to use up, so given I have bought the european and us track packs, which steam store packs would be best to get me some cars?

Again don't purchase race room content from steam, they cost more, because steam takes a percentage, hence why it is cheaper to buy from the race room store/shop.

VRP which is race rooms currency are quite cheap, I bought the complete catalog of race room content last year when they had a black friday deal, 27 pounds used in the race room shop will get you a lot of content as oppose to buying via the steam store, due to steam not taking a percent, please log into the game and purchase via the in game store, make sure your id is associated with your race room account, this is now a new feature which you MUST do, this will also help when purchasing content for race room, using your steam wallet.

THE most popular package is " WTCC 2015"

While this has been true for a long time, with the release of Nürburgring Legends and the other new packages you can get an even better deal then via the in-game store, especially atm with the 50% off steam packs.

Which content to buy pretty much depends on what you love to drive, I suggest doing excessive test drives and then decide. However what gives you a very good basic package is the mentioned Nürburgring Legends Pack. It will give you access to seven different classes and the nürburgring and nordschleife tracks for a ridiculous price of 7.50€. Once those are in your account you will see the package prices for European track pack and car packs drop since you already own some of the content. For a beginner the Audi TT cup can also be much fun, it's only 2.50€ on Steam. It's only logical to buy the track packs you've chosen at some point but you might get a better deal with one of the experiences on Steam with the 50% off now, if you're interested in one of the car classes that is. The track packs will be a lot cheaper afterwards since the experiences contain a variety of tracks.

If you consider investing from 35€ on upwards on the in-game store, you'll get bigger discounts for purchasing a vrp pack from here[www.raceroomstore.com] first. This gives you a general discount up to 35% on vrp. Otherwise you get an additional discount with a maximum of 18%, depending on how high your purchase is.

If you don't need to own every livery and car there is per class, you can get access to any racing class by buying one of the cars with one livery for 50% off right now. You will see all other cars and liveries on track, you don't need to own them for that.

Well, in this case you still might wanna get Nürburgring Legends and Audi TT from Steam. The rest of the packages are still too expensive considered you already bought the tracks. You can use your steamfunds for purchases on the in-game store aswell. All cars 50% off! Cheapest would be to buy one or two cars from each category right now. There are also some very nice tracks not included in the two track packs, like Macau and Bathurst, those are 50 % off right now too.

Thanks, so I probably made a newbie error by buying those track packs first as I didn't realise there is a discount applied to them if you own some of the experiences. Lesson learned!

Thanks for the help!

Is the car you are trying to use the DTM 2016 Mercedes?
That car is for a competition only but is also mistakenly showing up as available for regular use. Trying to use it in regular races throws that error for everyone.

Great, now that you've purchased content via the race room shop, you should get more discounts in the future.

Contents purchased from Steam of course also grant you those discounts on the in-game store, just not the other way around. I don't see why a few people don't get that.

yep, the DTM Experience 2013 is only $7.99 at the moment.
9 tracks will give you discounts on the other track packs bought later in the store.

Didn't read every post so someone may have mentioned this already. Sorry if they did.

I believe that when you buy off the official site you will get ANOTHER discount on things bought if they contain cars and tracks you already have. On steam you will get no such extra discount.

I am NOT totally sure this is the game I am thinking of that does this but I believe it is (a look at the official website should verify this as I remember reading it on the official website of whatever game I'm thinking of.)

This is the main reason people say to not buy off of steam as many packs contain duplicates of cars and tracks and steam will charge you FULL PRICE, while the offical site will take into account what you already own and subtract that from the price of the new package.

Again, please check the official site, I may be thinking of another game.

True, but: The regular discount begins at 750 vrp with 1% discount and adds another percent for each 250 vrp, up to a maximum of 18 % for one purchase worth of 10.000 vrp. That would equal 100€. As already mentioned, it is always cheaper to first buy a vrp pack[www.raceroomstore.com] as this will already grant you a direct discount on purchase of the pack, 15% already when purchasing 2.000 vrp up to 35% when purchasing 10.000 vrp.
So, just disregard the additional store discount, it is not the cheapest way to buy content for receroom.
