G27 - H shifter - What the hell

Hey everyone, I apologize if this has ben covered, my H shifer does not come up - nor does the clutch seem to engage. Iam unable to manually assigned the locations to the shifter as it will not allow the positiopns to be filled in 9-15 dx button

vehicle drives - tip tronic works speNt an hours read through the forms and nothing. similar but not the same issues.


power is on - checked thje cord, everything appears ok.

H shifter won't map and the clutch wont turn on -


I changed the setting from Automatic to manual

mapping has accepted the steering wheel and the brake and gas pedal

( when I turned on the h-shifter it says "hold for buttons" in small lettering below it )


what am I missing ?

I have a Logitech G27 and have the same problem. Works great in other SIMS, just not RRRE.

I have my H shift on "off" and mine works. i would delete any old controller profiles and create a new one. Unplug any other joysticks and such. They could be the problem.

I had the same problem with my G27 and H shifter. I unplugged my controller started R3E then quit, plugged it back in re-loaded R3E, and was able to set the gears. Definitely make sure H shifter is selected.
I'm guessing this is the same as deleting the control profile? I hope it helps!

Fishey, I've tried that, deleted my local profile and restarted without any controllers connected. I've reciently moved over to a TH8A shifter and everything detects initally before attempting to open a practice session or single player race. Once you start those, transmission switches to automatic. I don't have this issue with any other game or SIM. I've reached out to RRE for technical support and am waiting to see what they have to say. H Shifter is turned on as well. I can't get even sequencial shifting to work. Just auto.

I think this could be easily solved by RRE having a controller setup util under the options and having it verrify and test true all controlers.

same problem, also with G27. It recognises the gear positions and even recognises the clutch but in a race it wont shift. Clutch engages, but no gears. I think the gear link arm is bust...
