RR Silhouette Series
For the past week I have noticed that the RR Silhouette Series (Amateur) has been stuck at 28 entries out of 30...race time has elapsed but cannot access this series. Anyone else experiencing the same thing. I have refreshed the server but it adds only a few seconds to time remaining and then seems to shut down.

Yeah, I see that all the time. Sometimes there will be 2 or 3 races like that. And it's frustrating because I'll get in the game and check Multiplayer and "Wow, lots of people racing tonight!" only to find out it's stuck/crashed dedicated servers that haven't been reset/restarted, lol.

How do get a fast start with the Silhouette?

You really can't get off the line very fast. These cars are under-powered dogs and handle like a piece of s..t. Fun to bang and bump though....when you can get into the server.

With a little stup adjustments these cars handle fine. Theyre most fun on short tracks where top speed isnt that important. But the power isnt that bad.

If you think they drive bad, youre overdiving the car. Had a few races with them in my community and you have to get used to the class.

I guess the Silhouettes could be something on the order of a GT4 class or something? Not as powerful as a GT3 but not far from it either. They drive alright to me and actually are faster than the Aquila CR1, believe it or not, lol.

As far as launching, whenever I play them I just put the foot to the floorboard and hold it there. The traction control, since most Silhouette series servers are Amateur setting, the TC kicks in and keeps from spinning wheels. I race a few races last night and was able to get good launches that way. Even passed a car before the first chicane, hehe.

That's the question I would like to know the answer to.
I find if I have traction control off the car launched fine everytime, but then I lose out in the tight corners via wheel spin.
Alternatively if traction control is on i find it a hit and miss affair,,, the dreaded bog down then the noobs and rammers have you in the first turn....
I have found that if I time dropping the clutch just right the car launches great,, but getting that right is very hit and miss.
Anybody know how to launch these things well,,, please let us know...

Don't think there is a way to get any speedy start at the green flag. These cars are fun, but really garbage on power. Only thing I can suggest, given to me by another racer, is to turn off the counter steering option. You gain a little speed but watch out you don't spin.

Keep in mind, of the 4 car models, 2 are turbo and 2 are naturally aspirated. Generally speaking NA cars are quicker off the line than turbos which has the infamous turbo lag. Experiment with the different cars to see what you think. I forget the name at the moment, but the one that is a Mid-Engine V6 car is one that I take off pretty quickly in, it's naturally aspirated and also has the advantage of the extra weight by the rear tires, which is important since all of these cars are rear-wheel drive.
