RaceRoom Racing Experience

Direct Drive wheel support - OSW / Fanatec
Are the developers monitoring this forum? If so I'd like to inquire about whether or not there are any plans to add better support for Direct Drive wheels. I'm using an OSW Simucube wheel and, while it technically works, the FFB is really poor compared to how it felt on my previous belt-drive wheels. I've spent hours trying to dial it in, tried many setups from various forums, etc... but it just never feels right, and this issue has been mirrored by quite a few other DD users.

With the new Fanatec DD wheels out I'm hoping some attention will be focused on optimizing the FFB for direct drive wheels because I really miss playing Raceroom! I've noticed a trend with other DD users saying the same thing.

just got a Simucube 1 gen and while with other sims is good, with Raceroom is unusable. i almost injured myself since it snapped abruptly one side as son as took control of the car. Then it simply cannot go straight. is there any profile available to make it usable?

Maybe you need to check the reversed FFB settings.

Thanks Peter, I realized too that for some reason was triggered the reverse FFB. Now it's usable. Another problem (even if OT) is that is changing the controllers ID almost every time I plug them in (even if same USB) so that not all inputs are recognized and need to remap them. Annoiyng

I leave all my gear plugged, maybe its a windows problem.

i also leave them plugged but at every start got assigned a different id and need to remap. if it was only pedal and steer, but the buttonbox is a hassle. only in RR, other sims are fine. i'll start a new discussion

I have/had a Simucube 2 Pro and it is just like that, it's a different experience for each sim. I also have a DD2 and that gives mostly the same experience across sims, it's much easier to dial in. I'm not going into which one is better or worse but in MY CASE I use the DD2 more because I simply don't have time to keep messing with the settings every time I change sims.

*I still own the SC2 Pro but I gave it to my brother to use for the foreseeable as I mostly use the DD2.

**Just to add, with the DD2 which I have more experience with in RRRE, I have not had any issues dialling it in.
