RaceRoom Racing Experience

RaceRoom Racing Experience

Ez a téma ki van emelve, tehát valószínűleg fontos.

Virtual Reality
The menus of RaceRoom are rendered in VR as a static screen inside of a black environment. Depending on your seating / standing VR position, you might experience cases where the game window actually is above, behind or under you.

We therefore recommend that you should start the game on a flat monitor first, set it up to use a safe 1920x1080 resolution and go through some key bindings that are specific to VR.
Those bindings are:
- VR Reset Position - Once the game is started and you are facing forward, press this key and it will bring the menu window right in front of you (if it's not already).
- VR Toggle Monitor View - This will render a copy of your left eye picture on your flat monitor. While in the menus, they will be fullscreen on that view, making it convenient to browse menus without having to look through the headset. Also useful for streaming, recording videos, or just giving people around you a view of your experience.

- VR Increase World Scale - Increases the separation of the eyepoints to make you feel bigger
- VR Reduce World Scale - Decreases the separation of the eyepoints to make you feel smaller
- VR Reset World Scale - Resets the separation of the eyepoints to its default value

- Adjust Seat Forward - Use these controls to adjust the in-game seat position, in fact translating the default camera eyepoint position
- Adjust Seat Backward
- Adjust Seat Up
- Adjust Seat Down

We recommend that you start with LOW graphic level preset, then enable graphic options one by one following your preferences. Doing so will allow you to find the sweet spot balancing resolution / graphic options and performance.

VR still doesn't work for me, everything is pixelated/blurry except the virtual mirror
My VR experience has been absolutely horrendeous using the Oculus. Framerates don't go up to 90 FPS on the lowest of settings. I have an i5 3470 3.2 GHz and a GTX 1070 8GB with which I can run AC and pc2 just fine. Whenever I do set it to the lowest of settings (even -vr 1.0) the frame rate won't lock to 45 FPS for longer than 2 minutes until it desperately attempts to reach 90 again. This happens although I have messed with the Debug Tool, Tray Tool, Steam Settings, RTSS and turning off f.lux. What the hell is going on, could someone please help me out?

I tried nearly everything... Pre-rendered frames didn't do the trick either.

Maybe you can ask here.
Well, with i7 4770k at 4.4Ghz and one GTX1080, the fps's was very poor.... With medium/low settings... but in iRacing i can run medium/high with 90 fps's stable.
Maybe time to lvl up your DX9 to DX11 guys?

dam, my old gtx980 was able to keep up with it on those settings.
The VR support is pretty good imo, you need to dial it in, but works flawless once tuned to ur hardware.
Clarity of RR3 in VR is great, running AAx8 and supersampling on Vive Pro, with 115% SS, looks amazing.

It's quite the CPU-bound title, so I don't know what kind of CPU you are running. Mine's struggling because of the way Oculus' runtime messes with the game. Assetto Corsa has been the most consistent on my rig when it comes to graphical fidelity and performance.
Never had a issue with the CPU performance, running a 6700k @ 4.7ghz.
Raceroom dont care to much for lots of threads, so high clock seems to do the trick.
i keep trying VR every few months, still broken for me
it's the only title that doesnt work for me

How? I have an i7 8700k and 1080ti, and at Sepang the FPS wouldn't stay at 90 even with SS at 20% and all on low! Every other game and sim running perfectly.
It seems of the 4 free tracks, Stowe and Sepang perform pretty badly, whereas the other 2 do offer good performance.

Is there much performance variation in the paid tracks?
Got to agree too. i'm running a i7 8700K overclocked and and 1080ti and 16gb Ram and it's a struggle to get any race to run without suffering juddering here and there no matter what i try with AI number, gfx settings. Then some days i run it and it run's like a dream. It seems ot have a mind of it's own. Of all the games I run in VR this has go to be the most frustrating.
FX - 8370, 3GB 1060 and 16GB of Ram.

Still running fine for me with almost no problems. A crash once in awhile but its rare.
For me its one of thee smoothist VR Racing sims I've played (Dirt Rally, PC2, iRacing and rFactor).

Sucks that its not working for you though, hope they or you find something that works because I dropped iRacing and just play this now, pretty much because of the VR.
