Do you Need it on your main screen?
If its running in your headset I don't see why this would be a problem. However if you need it to be mirrored there should be an option for that in Steam VR's menu. You should be able to force it to mirror like that.
It's a common bug on WMR headsets, if you see the black screen but hear sounds, it's because the game screen in VR starts down below your feet , try looking down and you will see it...
You just have to start the game in normal monitor mode first, set the key for centering VR position , then use it every time you start in VR.
Don't know why the developers still haven't fixed such a silly bug , maybe there is a config file somewhere where we can set the initial VR screen position ?...
Could you please tell me how to fix a proper resolution? My monitor is 1920x1080, but the game is shown bigger than the screen, therefore I cannot see the upper right options. And in VR,, I can see everything but the cursor cannot reach the top right options, because it follows the screen resoluton, therefore the cursor cannot reach it.
I tried setting "Launch commands", "-w 1920", but of course, as most parameters in Steam, does nothing.
So I am stock without being able to play the game.
Months later and this problem still exists. Can't move the mouse cursor outside of a small box in the center of the screen. Do these devs ever test anything?
I found a solution. You need to go to the executable file: HD:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\raceroom racing experience\Game\x64\RRRE64.exe or/and (if you play it 32bits) HD:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\raceroom racing experience\Game\RRRE.exe right click the file, choose properties, choose the tab Compatibility, click on Change High DPI setting, mark the box Override High DPI Scaling Behaviour, choose Aplication on the drop down menu.
I recommend to you to do it in both files.
This will resolve the issue of the scaling and you can access the menus without problems.
Most of the games have this option in the settings menu of the game, but the developpers of this game prefer the Users/Clientes/player to become crazy looking for this info.
I hope I fix your problems.
Mine now it's working fine.
That did it! Thanks!
You're welcome
I am using ALVR to play in VR-3D with my Oculus Go. It works quite perfect and I like it, but I have an incredible problem: When I am on the grid, and I see the list of pilots I have the button to start in the center of the screen, below the pilot list. Using my mouse I have jerky movements, it moves juming here and there, but most sad thing, it avoids to go on the button. I pass literally minutes before I can get the mouse cursor over the button !! That's incredible. Someone has a fix ?? PS: using keyboard or my Joypad did not help, I can't find a key or a button to START....
Do you have a steering wheel connected to your PC? The mouse cursor may be affected by a peripheral that can also be used as a mouse such as a force feed back wheel.
Sometimes you've gotta make sure steamvr is closed before starting, other times it will just work.
The 2.2 supersample and seemingly 90fps target makes it seem like the game is hardcoded to aim at 90hz and vive resolution instead of getting resolution/hz info via steamvr.
But I'm not sure it the image quality is getting better. Would be cool to an option to turn off spectators separately. Might help. But now I can't drive without vr any longer :)
