If you think the handling and physics are better or more realistic in PCars compared to RRE, Asseto Corsa or rFactor than you are in a small minority.
This is a good expample of how broken PCars is.
You simply start of in the pit lane and that's it, just like a real race weekend but fast forwarded appropriately for maximum enjoyment, the kind of thing that a kid would fined boring but adults and race fans love.
A game is designed and set up to make you feel good at it and rewarded, a sim just simply simulates motorsport so forces you to actually be good at it.
Well that's how I declare a sim anyway. Lol
Very nicely put Vin!
pCars looks better. AC promises it better. R3E does it better. At least, so has been my observation.
Yup, this is the case indeed. No tire pressure, but most other (Diff, brake balance, TC, Ride height, springs, camber ) are there.
Oh definately, I've been noticing a bunch of things (and bugs)...Also, comparing anything but Rf2 to AC at the moment just isn't fair lol! AC is imo and my hotrod friends who play these games for $$ and drinks when we time trial tracks (who actually drive cars in RL) We are just comparing racing games for ourselves and for fun now that we all have PC rigs. But there are so many different players with different backgrounds out there and like they say, some things are subjective and opinions will differ.
Again, different opinions, but I c what ur sayin. I look at it as a "simulator" should try to simulate real life as close a possible within reason and limitation...Like R3E seems to (or did) simulate a racing series real good like ADAC but not physics or tyre model like Rf2 or AC does. ( I haven't tried iRacing yet)
Uh, no...I don't think that at all!! ..AC and Rfactor 2 are way ahead of both R3E and Pcars as far as I'm concerned and what I'm noticing. Like I said, I'm just checking stuff out and noticed that on some tracks especially, that Pcars feels more realistic than R3E in the way the car reacts in certain situations as I mentioned. Even the AI is more realistic in Pcars for example and I heard that it was one of, if not the worst AI ever, yet I get hit more when I'm using the racing line in R3E than I do with Pcars! (GT3 cars anyway, I haven't checked other classes yet)
Like I said, check it out for yourself. It's what we found anyway...For what it's worth.

Well, my concern has always been this, as I was enjoying the idea of WTCC and DTM racing at first so I too invested to only find out that they are only good at churning out more content for people to buy, not improving the game... The game has gotten worse, WAY worse since a year and a half ago.
AI was messed with, and made worse, WHY? They can't seem to create an update without breaking something more than what they were trying to fix, then hotfix after hotfix......"RaceDoomed"
Good to see that others are noticing. And they should be upset, especially the early investors.
Also it's more pc demanding than rrre and crashes for me personally.
Better visuals is all I can say.
This sound issue bothered me on toca for playstion 1, I don't expect it these days, I hope pc2 makes the sounds equal.
