AIdventure in the Steam Endless Replayability Fest

Hi everyone,

May 13 - 20, Steam will host the Steam Endless Replayability Fest, featuring games with endless possibilities.

Of course, AIdventure is one of them ! Every story will be different, even if the starting point is the same.

Moreover, you can create your own scenarios and share them on internet!

Stay tuned for the 13th, as I will announce something.

Changes

A new dock with information about the data sent to the server.
The context used to be x characters long, even if it cuts a sentence in the mi (middle of a word like what just happened). Now it will try to not cut any sentence.
The story now supports BBcode. The inputs should appear in bold (Result might changes depending of your font)
Added an option to choose the color of the highlighted text
The keywords of the lorebook are now highlighted in the input bar! (It has some limitation regarding caps. Moreover, keywords with whitespace aren't highlighted)
Fixed the menu asking you to load the generator, never selecting the default AI.
The same menu and the server menu now automatically refresh the list of AIs when you delete or download one.
Added an in game wiki (There isn't much articles for now)
Added a popup to help users having the "Cuda out of memory" error.
- Option to open the wiki to understand how to fix it
- Option to automatically downgrade settings to reduce the chance of encountering this error again

Server

Added a fallback to change the value of torch_dtype to avoid the "topk_cpu" not implemented for 'Half' error.

Mess up on install?

I'm kinda confused. I thought there were multiple options for AI built into this, but all I see if Picard and there no language option? It says I need to load a language and then just crashes.

The AI is dumb, it forces in characters, goes off about the princess becoming my slave with the sentence repeating five times in a roll. do not fall for the "no rules no censorship" thing because it's pointless with the AI doesn't even let someone make a transgender spell.

just use janitor instead because it's free, capable of NSFW and not a dumber version of AI dungeon with a bad UI. Hell you can even get janitor.ai to not follow rules with good wording and "censoring" words.

I'm a big AI story telling enthusiast and currently have an active subscription to NovelAI. I love the idea of this AI being on my own local computer and I can't wait to try it out. :) I bought it to help support the dev. AI has really improved my life, so I try to support anyone developing it and pushing the tech forward. Cheers, I can't wait to play, it's downloading right now....

GPU not used by the game

Hello, I have 4090 24gb VRAM videocard + Intel i5 13600KF CPU + 64GB RAM, and this game takes lots of time to generate even 40 words and when I open my PC resources tab I see that GPU is not used at all. Is this normal? UPD: game almost doesn't use my CPU either, my resource monitor shows CPU is barely touched, when I hit "Generate" button my CPU has 10% load and GPU has less than 25% load, and if I give 60 seconds to generate response it takes all that time; if I put 150 seconds into this option, each AI...

Screen Flickering & Prompt Ends

Not sure what's happening here, my PC is pretty decent, it's a i7-12700KF with a 3080. When I start the demo the screen begins to flicker and it ends what it was saying mid sentence. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
