[HELP] - Save File gone? Blasphemous II
I have been so excited about this game. I put in 10hours yesterday with 50% map completion.

Wake up this morning, my files are gone. Yes I saved/re-opened my game several times yesterday throughout. The game should save every time you rest.

Steam is saying the cloud is sync'd... What are my options here? This is really bad and tbh as much as I like the game I don't want to redo 10hours..

I seem to have files/data in the path "C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\LocalLow\The Game Kitchen\Blasphemous 2\SteamUser_XXXXXX" and they're not 0kb so I assume this is my game but it's not seeing it/pulling it?

It runs off the cloud so replacing it in the save game file folder doesnt work, I even tried disabling and still doesn't work. Seems like it might actually be a game bug.

Try to verify game integrity files!!!!! Just worked for me. I was at 51% complete.

It just happened to me, and verifying the files integrity didn't work...

I had to use a previous save file (I lost a couple hours of progress, but that's better than having to start from scratch).

As previously mentioned, go to C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\The Game Kitchen\Blasphemous 2\SteamUser_76561198054111671\Savegames and see if you have a "savegame_0.bin_1" in your folder (there could be a 2 and so on). If you have it then:

* Make a backup of those files and put it somewhere else (in case anything goes wrong).
* Erase the "_1" from the file name so it replaces "savegame_0.bin".
* Go back to the game and you should be able to continue from that point forward.

In my case I lost like 3 hours of progress but I was able to get to where I was fairly quickly.

I hope this helps.

I tried this and still wont work. any ideas? I beat the game yesterday but when I logged in today for completion stuff my saved game went missing..

I tried that solution but somehow my other save backups were from when the game was released, and I played nearly everyday so is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up backup save system there...

This thing works, thak you, mate.
Unfortunately, I can restore only the previous save file with 2 hours of progress lol. My 15h save still lost.
Save system in this game sucks.

Lost my files too, that's the second time.. tryed the restore by renaming the .bin files with no success. Now i'm gonna ask my friend for his save, I was at 90% going for 100% completion. Sadboys

I searched through my files, I don't have this at all. Looked a million times. I think it's cause my save is apparently on the steam cloud which I did access and find the file. I downloaded it too. But I have no idea where to put it or even if it will work. If you have any advice I'd love to hear it, 12.5 hours into the game all gone

I'm having the same issue. I can change the file names of the BIN_0 or BIN_1 file in my appdata folder and it restores a very old version of my game, but the latest version is simply not there. I'm going to wait a bit- because either they'll fix this somehow, or alternatively, i'll need to cool the hell down before i try to play this again, because that's very frustratating.

Just had this issue. Didn't ALT-F4 or anything. Rested at the save point, exit to menu then quit the game. Save file is gone the next day.
