Is there a NG+ now(the kind where you keep all the gear)?
I honestly don't remember how to get it in B1, and what we can expect for B2.
I think you couldn't keep the main relics(that affected progression and obstacles), but kept the beads and moves.

EDIT(added important details): I Ascended the save I had after beating Devotion again, and all the gear is gone. The only thing that is new that I've seen yet(30m or so of gameplay), is the True Torment altar.
Is this as intended or a bug? If it's the former, do we ever get the option to keep the gear - possibly after beating the game again with True Torment?

I did not start a NG+, I continued with my old save, but I read somewhere that you lose most of your stuff on NG+, so probably not a bug.

Why is it called NG+ then, if you don't get the gear 😂
Am I dreaming? You do USUALLY get to keep your gear, right? In Souls etc you usually do

Ok. I guess to go see all the new stuff, a good alternative to beating the game over again(i simply don't have the time or desire, honestly... and it would take me like 20 hours to do it, dirty lies about 6-8 hours, dear devs 😛) would be to load the old save, and go to the new stuff.
Though I don't imagine you can get the new ending that way...

Because of the true torment modifiers that will reward you something when you complete NG+. Also enemies in NG+ are harder.

how to start NG+?

Was hoping for this flavor of NG+ as well, being able to start over at minute one but fully upgraded.

I want to know as well. All I have is my old save (from just before the last boss), but not options for ascending or anything anywhere. Do I have to beat the boss again?

You just need to beat the final boss one more time. it will appear then

What will? I beat the final boss again and I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Is it in the file screen?

After you beat the last boss it says "true torment unlocked" and on the save file screen you can either load, duplicate or ascend your file. Ascend is the NG+ mode. That file will be overwritten and you lose almost everything, so I recommend duplicating it.

Yeah, this is not NG+, and I will insist on that.
As someone else said, correctly, this is just Hard mode.

No shade on the devs, I'm not gonna be whining and complaining about the lack of a true NG+(although why devs, and would've been very nice), but let's just keep calling things their actual names.

Agreed. Witcher 3 has this mode; you start the story over but have all your upgrades and the base monsters are tougher.

I was hoping to replay Blasphemous II as an unstoppable tank.

It's not so much the unstoppability for me(though I may have overextended when I loaded up on punishments of True Torment), as functional gear - all the traversability stuff and the hidden item detector. Just so that I can go through the entire game missing no items.
