when do you get the new jumping ability in the dlc?

There's a mobility ability to cross thorn obstacles that you need the sword from the DLC to traverse. There's another ability that lets you walk on glass platforms that you can get in the free dlc from the green zone.

ok i already got the ability to walk on glass, how do you get the sword? do you get it from a boss? and what area i have the dlc

You need to go to the ice area on the bottom right to start the clay people quest. Do that quest to completion and you will unlock a door in the new area in the top left. The sword will be in that door

Also, the clay people quest will make you go to multiple places all over the map before you can get the sword

Oh damn really. Ok well I been all over the ice area and unlock most of the doors I gotten a couple of mud keys and I already drop the blade and cut the prisoner head off. How do I know where to go next? Is there a boss in the ice area?

You need to use mud keys to access every mud door on the map which are in multiple different zones. When you go to every one you will get a special key that unlocks a special door after the boss fight at the bottom of the ice zone

ok thank you and how many doors are there? am at the first boss in the bottom of the ice area, the nun boss

pretty sure there's 4 mud doors, and then after that 1 more special door.
