Odon might be too hard now
Basilica lady was easy, the priest totem guy after Odon was challenging, but not die 13 times in a row hard. What the ♥♥♥♥?

Mayhaps I must, in fact, become good.

Prithee heed my words, I believe that gitting gud is fully within your grasp, my lord.

Odon was, in fact, the second most difficult boss for me in the game. Hes pattern of attacks seems, at first, very unpredictable but after a while you will see that it becomes much more bearable (pay attention, above all, to the puddle of water that forms around your feet when it falls on top of you).

The key point of combat, for me, was keeping the adds dead but knowing when to give them priority and when it is important. To kill them quickly I used Bleeding Crown Verse (I know that others prefer Bleeding Miracle, but the first one worked much better for me in this battle).

Good luck, don't give up!

Battling him now, he's very annoying. They definitely overdid it with the buff. Going at it without prayers, just as with the rest of the game because of the annoying guilt system (was much better in B1) and with daggers, since that's what I used most of the time.
Also, have to add so far I only enjoyed one boss, Afilaor, the rest are kind of crap, B1 bosses were better.

What? What about Orospina or whatever her name was? That duel was fun.
I think with the buffs, they expect you to utilize most of the upgrades you can get up to that point, but still, sometimes he would predict where I would be. I'll have to fight him again to get a good grasp on how difficult his fight actually is while using prayers.

He was difficult on the initial playthrough, but I managed to get his pattern down. Since his buff, he's been kicking my ass again :(

You're right about Orospina, she was fun, just a bit too simple.

I didn't know he got a buff. What he received? I dunno how he was before, I just started and finished the game this weekend.

I've done particularly badly against almost every boss in Blasphemous II. Other than the first boss, I don't think it took me fewer than five tries to beat any of the fights. Except for Odon, who I inexplicably beat on my first try. :rshout: Not sure why this fight clicked for me so easily, I imagine I got very lucky with RNG and loadout among other things.

This was pre-patch of course, but I can definitely understand why they patched him, cos at this point I had almost all the health and flask upgrades. Would be pretty curious to fight him post-patch and see how big the difference is.

Beat the guy, but yeah an annoying boss. Could have been better without minions and if he was more parryable. Minions just add too much randomness.

I´m actually dealing with him right now and is frustrating. I get to dodge almost everything but then I don't have time to attack. Didn't know he got a buff, but they should nerf his hp at least. I can deal with the rest, just lower his hp

Beat him with rapier today (didn't get to him pre-patch, about 10-15 tries I think?), no prayers, but almost all available stuff acquired (maxed t2 rapier, flasks, hp, statues etc.). One thing I was really missing was that instead of dodging or parrying is that half the time it's more efficient to just jump/air dash over stuff - the only thing that hits you is his landing and lightning from minion summoning. Waves, most of his melee attacks, minions attacks, spears - all avoidable at jump height. Well, unless you can perfect-parry everything, then it's efficient to clear the adds, naturally. Otherwise, only fight adds if you're far away from the boss (mind his jump though), they'll get mowed along with him anyway when he's just landed or something and you're wailing at him.

Didn't have chain lightning from statues - that might've made it a bit easier, too.

I used chain lightning before yeah, that'll probably make him a lot simpler.

I wasn't happy with parrying because while you are setting up to parry his minion, the wave shows up or the spears or the boss about to jump on your head. Also I used mystic damage instead of lightning on the rapier because the boss uses lightning so he may be resistant to it.

Sure, that's why I switched to jumping more and parrying only when it's obvious he's alone etc. You can do a ton of damage while airborne with the rapier anyway.

Makes sense, I believe the only bosses that resist mystic damage are the 2 moons one, final boss and maybe eviterno phase 2.

Not sure what they're were hoping for with his adjustments in the patch, but this ain't it. While I have no frame of reference prepatch, the reality is right now it feels like fighting an Amanecida without a lot of upgrades that also spawns adds.

It would be a little different if he wasn't as spongey and if you actually had rosary options to lessen the frustration.

Not a fan/10

I fought him pre-patch no miss with rapiers, and have fought him right now with mace. So best weapon pre-patch, and worst post-patch, and...
It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easier)))
