Crimson rain Boss - First Penance.
Is it just me or the old gezzer in his second stage is just ridicuosly broken, he just moves and jumps around like on cocaine i can hardly lay a hit without being hit. Is it just me or others have the same problem?

They are. I'd like to learn the fight, too, but not with all the unskippable crap.

Thats the fun thing about my most favorite Hollow knight bosses. They can be super hard but they are fast and you can retry them so often very fast.

No tedious BS, no waiting, instant fun all the time.

I agree, it's a riddiculous difficulty spike, but his attacks eventually make sense and they're not hard to avoid once you recognize them

My advice? Jumping constantly is the worst thing you can do in this fight, and keeping your distance from him is the best thing. Don't try to approach him, focus on avoiding damage, let him come to you, and attack him only once there's a chance. Use that one spell that creates a purple pillar of light around you, it deals high damage to him.

Yep. Jumping is a real bad idea. It got me hit so often. But its hard to get rid of this habbit. Usually its very helpful in those games :D

The thing about Eviterno is that he plays like no other boss fight in the game. He doesn't give you openings, and every attack he does seems to chain or lead into another one. There's no real downtime with him, just constant aggression you have to learn to anticipate. A lot of people playing the game currently also rely heavily on Veredicto, which comes to bite them in the ass this fight as many of Eviterno's attacks are RIDICULOUSLY hard to doge, but much easier to block.

Of course, this is all assuming you aren't tricked out of your gourd with some of the end game Chants. While Lady of Thorns lets you tank hits, it's Memory to Your Eyes that steals the show here. As much as people complain about Eviterno, he's a lot less threatening when he doesn't even get to do anything all fight.

I can see that most people recommend dodging, maybe it can work, but personally I got stubborn and manage to beat him with parry build on the sword. The best way to do it is to hug the corner (that way he can't teleport and attack you from behind, which is supper hard to parry) and block into parry when he does his 3-hit combo (parrying 2nd hit interrupts it). Unfortunately, this won't really work once he starts doing his oval attack and the 3-hit into slam, but at least you'll have more health and flasks by then
