Hymn of the thousand voices - sudden difficulty spike
This fight kinda surprised me.

After last three bosses with superlow kid difficulty (I got them easily on first try without any tactic, without knowledge about their attacks) i got some really ugly boss which spamming various attacks like crazy, it has tons of health in bad upper position which makes my attack just more complicated and risky. Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard even after i took and equipe EVERYTHING possible on map which is not a cool surprise after 85% of normal / casual game.

Maybe there were two devs for bossfights, one made fist three quarters of game, the other one was obviously Dark Souls nerd and made his bosses many times tougher than bosses his colleague.

I took everything, boosted everything and yet I am not even able took him one half of his health. I like jokes, but not this kind. I keep looking any solution, but if final one is really even much harder i wont waste my time with this anymore.

Dear Devs, tell me Why? And Really?

Hymn is easy just like the rest. You can air dash through everything. Even through the energy balls. Use veredicto for maximum damage and easy positioning.
Im using totaly maxed veredicto, but even in fire more and all its powerup statues its so so weak for this boss. Between all that nonstop dash is just minimum time for any safe attack. So im slowely beaten by all that spam. I never made it bellow 60% of his health.

And dash where? Ton of green crap on the floor and together load of spam in air. Only kinda safe part is that huge laser beam attack where of course i cant do any damage to him. ANd fact hes keep high in the air doesnt help me at all.

Huge difficulty in front of any other boss before.

Totaly useless for me, I need tip for veredicto and or in worst case for classic sword, and how to survive impossible bullet hell and second part of fight. I have two swords almost on minimum, and no more points left, second and third part of these things were the last weapon upgrades i found in game, i use them only for mirroring.

Only interesting information from this is, they are obviously heavily overpowered when fully upgraded. Which cant be now.

Mace has a slow "swing", which immobilize and you for relatively long tame, so remember that, and you need to place damage carefully. Basically, I would recommend to place 1 or 2 hits between each boss attack. It's ok to run far away from him for waiting a better position or just take a breeze. Also, collect all fire and elemental damage resistance beads and pick them all. So perfectly it's should be 1, 2, 3 tier for fire, and 2, 3 for elemental. Beware toxic damage.

Boss has 4 faces, you have to create a strat for each one. For your weapon, these strat would include basically when you can hit a boss and when it's dangerous. Wait first, react on boss actions. It's especially for old-man face. He has 2 attacks IIRC. If you see a fire sphere around a head - it's a face transition, and it about to explode with projectiles.

Blindfolded woman. If she's moving her head "up and down" she about to move like a fire pillar towards your character. If you see a glowing circle around her head - it's a healing state, that you have to interrupt. Put everything you have at this point, boss is vulnerable here.

Iron mask has a most difficult patterns. I would recommend putting only a single hits with mace, or maybe even run away and wait when it transforms into something else, if he's pushing you hard.

4 face will be seen at low boss hp, floor will be set on fire, so you wouldn't be able to heal yourself. There's no much to say, just finish him.

And year, bosses, and enemies in general, usually resist the damage type that they are using. I don't say that Hymn resist to fire, but he probably can. If you have the ability to change mace's damage source, do so. It may help.

>Only interesting information from this is, they are obviously heavily overpowered when fully upgraded.

They all very powerful when maxed out, tbh. I believe a mace a bad choice for that exact fight, that's why get in trouble with it. No worry, it's the best weapon for the next boss.
And normal blind fight would be +/- the same as maxed out, but longer, It's a main distinction. In tutorial, I meant a movement set, not a weapon usage.

This dude is using the no flask damage boost and the high guilt boost, don't ask this poor guy to beat the boss like that XD. Damage output makes a difference in this fight, he doesn't even let the boss to use all their moveset.

As advice, if you didn't notice, the nun face heals herself (when she doesn't do the fire pilar). So you need to hit her before she charges it up completely. She heals a lot if you mistake it for an attack and let her do it multiple times. I remember first time defeating this boss (I finished with 0 flasks and 1 hp) with Veredicto just by swinging the thing around and healing all the damage.
For damage output, I used jump+aerial attack+R1 to stay in the air while doing multiple attacks. After this you can make another jump and hit again.
As for charms, you can find the +3 fire def one before this battle as far as I remember.
Thanks for tips!

Anyway i found my own and easy solution. All basic attacks Simple swing fire swing, air swinging using of mace are basicaly useless here cause boss has lots of health and these attacks even with all upgrades and cooperating statues are too weak which gives the boss a lot of time for many bullet hell atacks.

BUT in the end I found him to be supersensitive to Azure Typhoon attack, especialy if combined with fire mode. So I spam this all the time, used just one flask and he died suddenly.

Spam beats the spam!

Glad to see you made it. For the future, the way i did this one was using Ruego del Alba sword, main focus on blood pact and increased uptime dmg etc for figurines. You need to learn phase 1 patterns (they ain't terribly bad) while focusing on building up the sword for later blood pact. If you got enough fervor i used deblas the first time i beat Hymn, sneak it during the moment the nun head pops up after the fire columns.

Once Phase 2 kicks in, blood pact, and just spam hits like crazy. This should do hign enough dmg for you to jump the entire phase. Drop a flask quickly before phase 3 sets floor on fire and hit them silly as you can or try pulling off a deblas, should be over quickly.

Highly recommend to have the Nacimiento and ecstatic novicefigurine combo for this, since every flask you use will briefly stop time and gives you a decent window for retaliation.

Good luck on Eviterno later on (gonna love that one)

Im curious. So far, im optimistic. I just found statue which brought me my third Gregals Favour, resonance upgrading power of Veredicto.

But first I need just decypher third letter and few other items of unknown use from my inventory before final encounter.

Good job!

Also yeah, Eviterno is a though one.

Next time try The Martinete of Forge and Thunder (lightning axe prayer). Put some lightning buff statues on and it decimates this boss for some reason.

I used a full prayer build for this boss, if you have most of the prayer altarpieces you can kill it fast. Honestly didn't notice a difficulty spike until the second-to-last boss's 2nd phase, that couldn't just be brute-forced.

Ah, the cursed letter quest. Yeah, it might be a good idea to complete that before Eviterno. I won't spoil the fight, but if you are used to parry, your mindset will have to change a lot with this boss. It IS parryable, but you will barely have any breathing room and the hits are too strong therefore no parry/counter. Evasion will be preferable
