If you have problems with the second to last boss...

Just use the fully upgraded rapier and dagger...
I had like 30 tries with my veredicto without success.
2 tries with the rapier and dagger.
I don't know why but it feels like devs force you to use them in this fight.
Or the fight simply wasn't tested with veredicto in mind.

I used Veredicto for the first phase then used the sword for phase 2. I just stood in the corner so I don't have to deal with him teleporting behind me. Jump the projectile parry everything else. When he gets in the air for whatever reason, slide away and head to the other corner.

Is it a bad thing to have to use several weapons for a boss? We have a key to quick swap them, I'd say we didn't get enough bosses that made us change strategies...

No, the boss is easy with veredicto. All you have to do is dodge through the attacks. You can dodge through his blood waves, through his swings, through everything. The only thing to watch for is backswing from his frontal attack. The best opportunity to attack is when he jumps in the air and at you, you can dodge through him or jump over the attack and hit him with whatever weapon you have. But veredicto is the least punishing for positioning and does the highest damage in the shortest amount of time, also generates the most fervor.

The bosses are sadly a joke.

Really? I felt like i did tons of more damage with the rapier + dagger than with veredicto. I had the altar combi that refreshes the lightning markers with each flask sip. Rapier + dagger with the 3 full lightning markers seemed to outright melt the boss.

I cheesed him with bile flask slowdown and the slowdown prayer. Got tired of his antics.

I used the chain lightning combo and a crit/damage build, when the lightning was active I'd melt his health so fast it's ridiculous.

So I used the rapier and dagger throughout the whole game. This boss was kicking my ass at first because I was trying to parry all his attacks. But then I realized that dodging through them is 1000% more effective and got it within 3 attempts once I started doing that. So yeah, the key to the first is to dodge through his attacks when he does the slashes. I'd basically dodging through him doing the ranged crescent attack, hit him a few times, then keep doing that until he does a slash, dodge, hit 3 times with the rapier, dodge again, hit 3 times with the rapier, dodge again, etc.
And once he starts jumping into the air and doing the big slash it gets even easier, because he sits there for a while and lets you get several hits in afterward.

the level 3 rapier and dagger kicked this boss's butt :D the dodge works well on him too. In his 2nd phase once you learn his attack pattern it's pretty easy to dodge all his attacks.

i just learned his pattern and slapped him with ruego. tbh i only use ruego, the other weapons to me only exist fore nvironmental traversal
