parrying is underwhelming

Parrying with the Sword or the Sabers is a little underwhelming and often leads to me getting hit even if I parry correctly, because the Parry animation lasts a little too long and the enemy just bumps into me after doing it, damaging me. Not very fun. Otherwise great game :)

I think the parrying is fine ? it just requires precesion.
and with the added ability with the dual swords to parry+counter attack it made it even better .

There's a statue that increases your parry window by a substantial amount, to the point where I've parried enemies before their attacks even properly came out.

my problem isn't parrying. i can parry well haha, the problem is after the parrying animation, the enemy will move before I can, damaging me just by touching me because we're next to each other, sometimes ever overlapping.

The default parry is honestly worse than just moving a bit back. I'm not sure what they were trying to do there it's actively bad to use. The instant counter is better, but if the enemy is near a wall you're probably going to end up bumping into them and taking damage.

Getting hit after a parry has not been a really big issue for me. I don't like how many unparryable attacks this game has compare to the first.
