How to destroy wooden barrier things?

i have all the swords and don't understand how can i destroy the wood barriers (the tree trunks with people in them)

I actually can't do that, idk why but when I try to slam against the ground the animation cancels and just do a normal fall. I think that's a bug but I just got "stucked" at the zone where you get the weapon to break the wooden walls /:

you need to jump really high climb up a spot or something
you cant just jump and do ground slam with the sword , gotta be from a further distance and you'll know it worked when the screen does a special animation (darkens a bit))
