dear god this is the most ungodly monetized fanserver i have ever bore witness to. I actually hate you for bringing it to my knowledge. i am very unhappy with how darkflame turned out personally but this is NOT the way to go. please. no more.

I don't know anything about Discord drama. The Mythrans are very active in this server and the server has minimal/no bugs. I have been playing for two months and I really hope this server grows ❤️

This is a super scummy server, and I hope you find a different one to play on. The source code is available for free, for anyone. This server monetizes using that free code, which is not only illegal, but just straight up scummy. I can understand that setting up your own server can be challenging, but I promise you if you look around you'll be able to find a different server to join that is completely free. I highly recommend anyone who sees this stays away from this server.

This server isn't scummy. The Mythrans are very helpful, and there are lots of players. Lots of other MMORPG servers use game server files to host servers (club penguin, maple story, world of warcraft, mu online, the list goes on).

All the items can be earned in The Lego Universe; the shop is optional and is only used to help keep the server online. https://thelegouniverse.com is beautiful and amazingly made, and I'm very grateful for the owners' for bringing back nostalgia. The owners have fixed a lot of bugs, and they make the server available for everyone😘😘😘

Monetizing something that is meant to be free IS scummy. Removing all trace of the people who actually worked on this project (Darkflame) and banning people who let others know about other servers IS scummy. No other server has a shop as an option, because not only is that illegal, but it IS scummy. They don’t need the shop to keep the server running, that is basically just for profits. There are tons of people who run servers out of their own pocket and don’t ask for a penny in return, so it’s more than possible. Not to mention The Lego Group specifically said that they weren’t allowing public servers. It sounds like you either run this server or work for it, I don’t see how you’d otherwise shill for it so hard.

Edit: Also, NOT all the items being sold can be earned in the game. They sell quite a few items that were exclusive promotions or unreleased. Unless they implemented them as a drop, these are not possible to get for free.

thelegouniverse.com is running official game server files from NetDevil and the Lego Group, with all credits available in the game along with their logos; everyone is credited. 👍

There is no need to compare thelegouniverse.com to a competitor server like "Darkflame Universe," which is riddled with bugs and connection problems. They closed down their server and deleted everyone's characters, minifigures, and properties, wasting everyone's time and effort. 😢😢😢

The shop at thelegouniverse.com is OPTIONAL, and the Mythrans are very generous in the game. They gave us Christmas presents on the 24th of December last year. 🎁

Not all servers are as buggy as you make them out to be. The one I’m in has very minimal bugs, and the community and admins are all wonderful. I’d hardly call Christmas presents above and beyond, really. You act like this is the only good way to play the game when it simply isn’t, and in my opinion isn’t a good way at all when there’s monetization involved. It doesn’t matter if the monetization is optional. It’s scummy, and once again, ILLEGAL. Doesn’t really sound like you know what you’re talking about, so I leave it at that. It’s very obvious you either run the server or work for it, and that you are completely biased. Have a good day buddy 👍

DLU doesn't run its own server because The LEGO Group demanded it. Their software is open source so others can create their own servers. The most likely case I see is thelegouniverse​.com is also using Darkflame Universe, and it refuses to acknowledge DLU's creators because it has a monetary incentive with its storefront.

Is the download safe? Sure, most likely. The server is pretty shady though, and I wouldn't trust people who illegally monetize somebody else's code (among other suspicious and scummy things).
