Yes, I appreciate that we could use habits for this - and that does make sense.
However, I'd personally find it more beneficial if the game also had the feature for little acts of self-care to be gently prompted, that can appear onscreen without relying on me to be conscious of checking my habits frequently during the day. Like all of the little Spirits are just checking in on you, you know?
I know this wouldn't appeal to everyone, but for myself (I am awful for remembering to hydrate) and for others I know who struggle with some of their day-to-day basics, it could be a really motivational tool. <3
I'm also awful at remembering things, and the habit list has helped me some with that. However, it's something I was already doing on my phone with alerts. So I'm already in the habit of it.
The spirits checking in would be so cute! They have their own personalities too, so some would definitely be more likely to do that than others.
Kettlebrew could remind you to drink water.
Trashnuki can ask if you have snacks (reminding you to eat.)
Inkster and Chapterpillar could both gang up on you about being creatively productive.
If Drizzlefin told me to go out on a walk I'd probably die with how cute it'd be.
