Looking at other people's asks and my own experience, I do think upgrading the journal a bit would improve the overall experience.
I think the journal, habit tracker, calendar, and project page should be 3 tabs on the "planner" book.
The calendar should let you put in around 3 important things for the day, only stuff like appts or deadlines or bills (for simplicity).
The project page should have the ability to list tasks, reorder them, and create subtasks, but most importantly you you can press/click a button next to tasks or subtasks to send them to the "to do" list.
That way if you have a big project you can outline all the steps but then you have the "to do" list with just the stuff you need to work on today, and the to do list should auto-populate with stuff from your calendar (hence only putting in key stuff like appts).
A phone app for android would be nice but i actually absolutely don't want google integration or anything like that lmao, (except the youtube integration but even that can be an unnecessary distraction, but I can't deny youtube is winning in the lofi vibes archival competition.)
I've tried so many planners and habit trackers and to do lists and my honest advice is don't make it too complicated because then it gets overwhelming. Also the more complicated something is, the less versatile it is. The best planners/organizers/habit trackers/etc that I've ever used are always the simplest and this one really wins on the score. It really has everything you need, BUT a simple calendar and project list wouldn't hurt, and for the journal I definitely think there needs to be a way to download it lol. Even before organization, the ability to archive what I'm writing is more important since I actively keep journals and I hate when I like an app or something but there's no way to save my journals or export them or anything.
- I'd like to have the ability to easily switch into different outfit variations depending on the time of day/activity my avatar is doing, such as day clothes for working or PJs for relaxing (sort of like in the sims)
- Sometimes I like to change my avatar into fictional characters/OCs to boost my motivation (it's like they're working with me!) but it can be tedious to have to redo all the skin/eye/hair colour droppers and clothes when switching.
- For people who are a system they can have a different avatar to switch between based on whoever is fronting!
Additionally, it would also be amazing to have loadable save states for room designs and sound effect mixes, especially if there is going to be more content down the line!
Sorry this thread is mega long so idk if someone already mentioned this (but if so, count this as a co-sign!)
I would really love to see something like lighting progressing with your local time (with the option to turn it off if you just want to experience one lighting)
I think another fun activity would be cooking to match the sizzling sound!
- Grilling, hotpot, eating activities
Adding more cooking sounds other than sizzling would be nice too:
- Chopping, water running or pouring, ice clinking, etc
Items
- Boba (god I love boba)
At the bay window or at the fireplace, it'd be cool if there were a napping option!
-Chill out Location Bathub? with regulatable steam athmosphere and bubble / ocean sounds
- Toggle option for time of day to automatically follow system clock
- Allowing the computer to be able to put the monitor displays to sleep when idle. At the moment, I've tested with BlackTop and this is not possible when Spirit City is running.
- I second the Spotify integration from one of the comments above!
- More medium-length hair options
- Let me create To Dos that are longer than one line. Sometimes a task is a little longer. I really need to be able to add a little more detail there.
- Either create a new tab for tasks that are done or put completed and checked off tasks at the bottom of the list.
- Potentially, add a timestamp as to when something is completed on the To Do list. Could make it optional or something that shows up when you hover over it, but I think some people would like to see that info.
- In general, allow me to tag To Dos. I mainly use the app to study Korean at the moment, so let me create tags like Grammar, Vocab, Reading, Listening, Exam prep etc.
- Please add Spotify connection so I can listen to my own music. I just don't vibe with the playlists.
- In the same vein as the previous one, maybe add a browser function into it. It would be great if I could look up information (e.g. a grammar point) without having to switch over to my browser.
- More customization of the character would be appreciated but isn't a necessity for me personally.
- Left handed options. I don't know if it's easy, but in my head it's only mirroring the animations for knitting, writing and drawing. It would be chosen at the wardrobe
- Petting/playing with your spirit activity
- Spirits having different idles depending on your activity/location
- Reading in bed activity
- A pomodoro tracker in like, it says how many pomodoros you've done that day?
- More animal ears, and the option to remove regular ears if you wear them. Ears being separated from horns so you can wear both
- Skirts!! Dresses/full outfits like pajamas, kigurumi...
- Sewing activity? like using a sewing machien at the desk or hand embroidering something by the window or fireplace, just like knitting
- habits log. Instead of having to remove each mark everyday for checking it later, every monday the full habit resets and the previous week is archived in another tab
- edit to add: an option to keep the settings from the previous session. Maybe asking when turning on the game? as in, playlist, sounds and their volumes
Second, please add MANY more achievements, for many different things, such as trying certain clothes, etc. Certainly achievements, and xp, gained by trying on new outfits/clothing, changing appearance and the room, more than one room, etc.
I want many more available tasks and goals, I would like more than one morning/day/afternoon/night backgrounds. Maybe with spirits that need certain ones to be found
