Spirit City: Lofi Sessions FAQ

Q: What platforms will the game be available on? Any plans for Linux, Switch, Xbox, Playstation, iOS, Android?
A: Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is currently available on Windows and MacOS on Steam! The next platforms we'd like to hop on is the Nintendo Switch but the timeline is still to determine! We have currently no plans for Linux, Xbox, Playstation, iOS, or Android.

Q: Is there a press kit anywhere for content creators/media?

Q: Where can I contact you for business opportunities?

Q: Is the music safe to stream on Twitch, Youtube, etc?
A: Yes! Thanks to our collaboration with Homework Radio, all the music playlists in game are stream-friendly. No need to worry about copyright strikes.
Please keep in mind that music from the web browser in-game is not stream-friendly though.

Q: Will there be Spotify integration?
A: While we appreciate the idea of Spotify integration, it's currently beyond the scope of our capabilities. The game features a built-in web music player that we believe will provide near limitless music options!

Q: Will there be integration with Gmail, Todoist or other productivity suites?
A: At the moment we don't have any plans for this sort of integration, it would be quite difficult for us to implement. We aren't creating Spirit City: Lofi Sessions to replace more powerful tools, but to be a compliment to your daily habits.

Q: What are the post-release plans for the game, will there be updates, DLC or extra content?
A: We have released 8 major free updates in 2024 following the 1.0 release, and we are planning to support the game with free and paid updates throughout 2025!

Q: Will there be Steam Workshop support for user-generated content?
A: At the moment there are no plans for Steam Workshop or modding support, but we are always considering possibilities if demand is there!

Q: How much will DLCs cost?
A: Pricing is always something we are conscious about, we want our game and DLC to be accessible to as much people as possible while making sure it lets us keep working on the title. We're always listening to feedback, and want to make sure the price is fair for the value it adds. Rest assured that major DLCs will always be less than the base price of the game, and roughly they should stay in line with the current price of the Cozy Kitchen expansion.

Q: Will you still release free updates?
A: Yes! Since release, we’ve been thrilled to bring you a ton of free updates, and we’re committed to continuing this support with future free updates. However, as we expand into adding more exciting content through paid DLC, the frequency of free updates may not be as often as before. We will continue to focus on quality-of-life improvements, new cosmetics, spirits, and exciting things in free updates!

Q: Will you lock productivity or QOL updates behind DLC?
A: No way! At its core Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is about creating a cozy safe space for players, and helping them be productive. We will make sure that any new productivity feature or QoL updates will remain free and included in the base game. Instead, we want our DLCs to be adding to the existing fantasy of Spirit City with new locations, new spirits, and more to discover!

Q: Will there be any new achievements with the DLC?
A: No, since achievements are still tied to the base game, we don’t want our players to be missing achievements if they haven’t purchased our DLC.

Q: Will there be Soundscapes or Playlists exclusive to DLC?
A: We’re still figuring out the plan for Soundscapes and Playlists, but we’ll have more information in the future.

Q: Will you have tons of DLC like (insert game here)?
A: We don't want a huge list full of dozens of DLCs. While that may work for some games, we understand the fatigue and frustration it can cause players. Releasing paid DLC allows us to continue working on and supporting Spirit City, but we want to maintain the right balance. We are always open to feedback here, and we're listening, so please stick with us and let us know how we're doing!

I bought this on steam deck only to belatedly find out it's not compatible with my Mac when I tried to download for my work. I feel stupid, lol. Hopefully your version for Mac will be available soon. ;)

Hello, I can't hear any music sound effects at all when I run the game.

The audio format of the speaker can only be set to a maximum of 32-bit/192000Hz

I work with two monitors, and when the game is running and I also have another programme open, the "game monitor" turns black. Music and sound effects still play, though. To end the game I have to use the task manager. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem here and how to solve it? Thanks!

Hi, would like to ask if it would be possible to add a Twitch integration? What I would like is for there to be a way for chat to add their tasks so they can participate by also working along side me with their own tasks. Have their tasks show in the task list along side my own, and maybe they can have their own points area that grows towards something only the chat can attain in game. of course some options to mod this as well to limit trolls too :D

Man... Sad about no Linux plans... I got the game with hopes to put it on my (Linux) laptop I take to work, but it seems it'll be staying home on my (Windows) PC ;(

Thank you. I guess the companies claiming copyright are malicious companies that make similar music and claim it.
This APP is very useful to me. Please keep improving and updating it. Even paid DLC is fine!

Would be really cool to have some seaside/underwater/ocean scenery/sounds/ambient music. Such as whale sounds or that cool, tranquil soundscape many aquariums play

Honestly i think having a night mode would be nice! that meaning not just its night time. but also putting a mode to turn off the lights in the room, so say if you want to leave it on your computer while you sleep and listen to cool lofi you dont have a bright light in your room lol, thats my only thing i request :3
