All excellent games, all feature LOTS of content. I had more fun playing Lego HP 1-4, plus my kids could relate more to that, so HP gets my vote!

Harry Potter is fun and good puzzels :), if you have read the books its be more fun :). Star wars is like Star Wars use to be. But i have only play some hours on that one.

Complete Saga all the way. I have played all LEGO games so trust me. LEGO Harry Potter was not nearly as fun as the first two LEGO Star Wars games. Plus LEGO Harry Potter has way more glitches and small little issues than the original LEGO games.

@Ninja Pirate I have played them all too, but that doesn't mean to say that one of our opinions is more valid. It is all down to series preferal.

Yup.. comes down to which of the two movie franchise you like the most... Both of them get good reviews for the most part. If you like HP more than you like SW.. then get HP.. for me, these games are not really about the game itself but more about retelling the movie/books..

I WAS enjoying HP 1-4 more .. even though it crashes on me all the time .. but my enjoyment of it has reached the screeching halt, as I've run into the dreaded Dark Tower freeze glitch and can't get past it. So no year 4 for me until they release some sort of fix.

The Complete saga is old school and probably has fewer gameplay elements. I played the first 2 LEGO Star Wars games back in the days and I enjoyed them a lot. I only just recently bought LEGO HP 1-4 and I just finished the story, unlocking stuff now. I would buy the franchise you are more familiar with/like the most (I would've bought TCS too but I already finished the PS2 versions so I didnt want to buy it).

I finally got past the issue I was having in HP 1-4. I sorta burned myself out on Lego games for a bit. Between the SW Saga, HP 1-4 and 5-7, and Batman 2 .. I think I need a week or so before I can handle running around picking up scores of lego money brick thingys again. I sorta wish they'd find a better way to handle that. Like .. if you break it open, you get it, or it drops right there instead of bouncing all over the bloody place. I find it really frustrating when I lose most of the money in certain situations, because it A) Goes somewhere I can't go, or B) Goes off a cliff or a hole that you'll die if you go after it.

I think from a stand point of "fun vs. gameplay" I found Star Wars a bit more accessible. You don't have to spend hours and hours to try to find that one character you need for something. You basically get what you need to do the Freeplay elements while playing single player, or .. they're purchaseable. With HP, you can't buy the character, until you've found the token .. which can be a bit frustrating. Also, the levels in HP are much, much longer. So if you're looking to go back for one specific thing, you still have to play through the entire level to get back there. Couple that with certain elements just not even being IN the story anymore (Like the aging potion room), if you don't just KNOW that you can go back there, or more importantly .. where it is .. it can be somewhat frustrating. I think for the HP games in specific, adding the Maurader's Map as an actual .. you know .. MAP would have been awesome. Especially if they'd let you select an area on the map, and have Nick lead you to that part of the game. It's such a simple little thing, and yet it would have made navigating worlds easier.

Sorta got off track a bit, but it's things that I've been thinking about. :D

if you game is freezing ALL the time it almost dounds like you have a intergrated card are not enough video memory because this game runs smooth as hell. Now 5-7 that one seems to be a beast on the gpu.

I find Lego SW very frustrating. Especially the challenge levels. I prefered the open world and bonus levels of HP.

It's about which movies you like more. And I like Harry Potter movies more therefore the Lego Harry Potter.
