Year 1 Herbology Class glitch

While playing the herbology class with Devil's Snare I read that you need to assemble a cart to send it down the track and destroy it. But when using Wingardium on it the cart just breaks apart and won't let me reassemble it. Does anyone have a solve for this?

Once you've built the cart I think you just have to jump in to ride it (as far as I remember).

I;ve tried to rebuild it but it won't let me. there's no purple light around the parts

Then you haven't destroyed enough of the greenhouse to release all the parts you need :)
