Missing golden brick

I collected each and every golden brick, but there's still one missing. It should be in the library, but there is nothing to do for me. It's so frustrating to be stuck on 199/200.

Does anybody have a solution?

There are a couple of instances where the Gold brick detector shows bricks that are actually in other areas. One in Diagon Alley as you come out of the Leaky Cauldron and shows off to the left (which doesn't even exist), and others in a couple of places around Hogwarts. I don't know if it's to do with how the games map is interpreting things and they haven't been picked up by the developers but they are there to annoy you and convince you that you are going mad for whatever reason. You'll have to go on a ramble around the castle, including the hidden rooms, dungeons, and the outside areas too, as well as the time-turner stuff to find the one you are missing. Annoying to say the least, but you don't have to worry that it says it's in the liibrary (in front of that bookcase?).

Thank you, but it's not in front of the bookcase. It's in the center of the room and described as "the real one" (I already collected that one). It doesn't make any sense to me.. I did a complete search in the whole castle today and there have been no other bricks detected. :(

I checked it and in my 100%-Save the game also marks there an golden brick. So this isn't the solution. Check the other ways to get some golden studs. Have you done the bonus-levels at gringots and did you build the 4 Sets in the cellar of the bar? Have you checked the diagon alley and the shops?

Thanks for your suggestions. I did all the extra stuff (and I googled before I wrote this). It really is one damn brick missing. I'll check out the videos you linked though. Hopefully there is a solution to my issue..

I had the crest detector showing a yellow arrow in the library for a crest I had already collected. Had me thinking I'd missed a gold brick for the longest time. Try turning off the crest detector and see if the arrow remains.
